It looks like he might have started making a left turn. I’m guessing he was driving distracted and didn’t see the other car until the last second. You can see by the way the front wheels were turned that he swerved right just before the crash. Of course there is also the possibility that he was just driving a complete a-hole.

Also even if you have a green signal you still need to let the intersection clear. Too many people think a green light means it’s all clear.
