[Daniel Li] Jabari Smith Jr.’s Dumb Mistakes Drive Kevin Durant Crazy
This clip pretty much confirms what KD said about Jabari but in a much nicer way lmfao
Lol, it starts out that way, but he concludes that the lack of ball movement is more of a team/coaching issue and KD shouldn’t lash out.
I don’t know, the inbound play was egregious. He logged 250+ game 8000+ minutes in the NBA. How do you not know you when you are open on an inbound pass?
It is bad, but later in the video (3:23) there are a bunch of similarly bad plays where guys are just running into each other. It shows that it’s a teamwide issue, not just with Jabari.
Man everytime this guy makes a mistake hes gotta know KD is rolling his eyes. Idk if yall have ever played with anyone like that but its fucking trash and poor leadership. Thats how you start second guessing yourself which is no good for mostly everything.
Well KD is a poor leader
Yup facts. KD is a generational great but bad leader. Kinda surprising for a basketball player really.
Speaking facts. Which is why no one would consider KD a good leader. I’m wondering how good of a teammate in general he’s been. He seems so insecure
There’s a reason KD hasn’t won more than two chips, both with a team that had amazing culture when he joined.
Lot of this is on udoka don’t know how to coach offense
Ime can’t wave a wand. Jabari has been a dummy since day 1.
so bari has stretches of games where he plays his role really well and hits 3s consistently, then he has stretches of games where he goes like 1-9 or 2-10 or some shit and it pisses everyone off.
udoka depends too much on iso-heavy offenses, but im’ not sure if its because he’s adapting to kds playstyle and understands its needed since we don’t have a pg, or because udoka can’t come up with plays himself. it’s really confusing though because there are some games where our offense is passing the ball around really well and it looks so fluid e.g. feb10th win against the clippers.
the point is, if we even make it to the WCF, i’ll eat a sombrero
Udoka didn’t have a real offensive system before KD either. It was basically “spam FVV/Sengun pick and rolls”, and we were still at the bottom of the NBA in terms of APG.
At this point I think it’s fair to say that Udoka just isn’t a good offensive coach and none of the assistants are either. We desperately need an offensive assistant hired to inject some life into this offense, because it’s apparent no one of the current staff knows how to do that
Udoka had the same problem in Boston.
Steph Curry’s championship level shooting ability also drives Kevin Durant crazy.
Steph Curry’s championship level defense drives Kevin Durant crazy
I have no idea if it was KD or not, but calling Bari dumb and Alp fat is accurate.
Jabari smith is highly regarded by KD
Ime Udoka: Go hard on them dudes, salute.
The truth of the matter is this is really Udoka’s fault. Yes, Jabari makes awful decisions, but watch a few Rockets game and you can see how desperately they need a playmaker. They need to set way more screens and have more off-ball movemenet rather than relying on the past offensive rebounding that Adam’s offered his team.
Udoka is just not a good coach and he blames his players but doesn’t know a good offensive scheme if it slapped him in the face. The Celtics definitely don’t miss him.
I do think Jabari is in his own head a lot. He often doesn’t look comfortable on the court and looks like he’s just trying not to make mistakes. This is already his 4th season, but hope he can turn it around because he’s got the talent for sure.
I think the atrocious point guards he got to enjoy playing with during his rookie contract really stunted any potential
I remember he was supposed to be one of the better shooters(?) coming out of his class but he sure didn’t get much practice from all the tanking they were doing before fvv and even fvv didn’t give him the ball much
I remember this offensive system from when Ime was in Boston.
Unpopular opinion: GS offense didn’t benefit from adding KD. I remember him even slugging their offense up. The only time having KD helped the warriors was in the clutch because what team wouldn’t benefit from having KD to give the ball too in the clutch.

…do you?
Wym?
KD stands around doing nothing when he doesn’t have the ball. Did you even move on any of these clips?
