According to databallr.com’s lineup data: Since last season, Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs have only played 245 minutes together. In those minutes, they’re at a +9.8 net rating.

Each of the three have missed time in succession both this season and last year. Paolo had a serious groin injury at the start of this year, Franz got his a high ankle sprain and Jalen had a hip and other things.

Last year, both Paolo and Franz tore their obliques and Jalen needed surgery on a knee cartilage issue.

This offense clearly needs Suggs, or at least a competent PG. Also I gotta say, the amount of minutes Paolo has had to play solo over the last two seasons is absurd lol

Yeah I’m still a lot higher on Paolo than most people here but if he’s going to be your star you NEED to have a reliable PG running the offense.

Suggs has been that when healthy but if you’re never healthy then you aren’t reliable.

Surely after 4 years in the league, your number one overall pick learns how to be a net positive on the court.

Please tell me where Paolo has shown improvement in his time as an NBA player. He is a bad finisher, mid range shooter, and three point shooter. His handle is average, doesn’t have great functional athleticism, and is bad on defense as well. The only thing I give him is that he has gotten pretty good at drawing fouls.

I was really surprised he got that contract extension tbh - his shooting went up in a contract year and fell back down to earth.

I get that he’s a great defender, but having your off-guard making 30M a year and not having all-star level production is a killer in today’s CBA

At least one of them is bound to end in Europe due to injuries, so I don’t think that we’ll see much of them playing together.
