Those young OKC players and Spurs players sure, when they are eager to learn from a vet. Why didnt he last long on those teams? He oversteps coaches.

There was rumblings about Chris Paul when he was on the Warriors it was interesting how everything was great yet they had no interest in bringing him back. So not sure really been 6-7 years but ok.

Ty Lue got his feelings hurt that Cp3 was criticizing him. Granted dude can probably be an asshole but he wasn’t wrong.

While I agree that multiple parties are to blame, it’s fucking wild for you to make the argument that everyone else was the biggest problem.

Here’s what we actually know:

• The Clippers were sucking despite Harden AND Kawhi both playing well (until Kawhi was injured). They typically lost games the second Harden sat, in large part because they were old, slow, and couldn’t set up their offense.
• Chris Paul was warned multiple times for challenging and undermining the coaches, especially JVG.
• Chris Paul had a limited role, but in his 14 MPG, he shot was BAD. Averaged ³⁄₃ on ³²⁄₃₃ splits.
• L-Frank made the ultimate decision to send him home after he once again undermined the coaches, and then asked Dunn/Kawhi to back up that Cp3 didn’t “Change the gameplan,” but rather, “Suggested a change to them.”
• The game plans from Lue and JVG ultimately ended up working, considering LAC turned their season around.

Yet somehow, you want to blame this on Harden who literally everyone on the team has had the highest level of praise, who was actually playing good basketball all season. Or the allegations surrounding Kawhi, despite nearly every player commentator saying this isn’t at all a big deal from the players’ perspecitve. Or JVG being an insufferable asshole despite every LAC player crediting their amazing defense last year to JVG (and somehow acting like CP3 isn’t a notorious asshole)?

Here’s the most likely reality if you actually want to try to be fair: the vibes were bad because the team sucked due to so many changes + injuries (Collins sucked, Beal/Bogi were bad then got injured, etc). In the midst of these bad vibes, Cp3 kept challenging the coaches, who were continuing to try to figure shit out. Cp3 was told to stop, and the line was crossed when he once again undermined the coaches, then tried to involve his teammates in this spat. Players were caught off guard, because from their perspective, Cp3 wasn’t being that bad, but also weren’t the ones being undermined. LAC then turned it around because Kawhi stepped up, the young guys gave them good minutes, and they found consistency in the same coaching plan that Cp3 kept undermining.

Then, no team signed Cp3 because as we ALL could see, he sucked. Trying to act like Cp3 is passed up because LAC sent him home is silly. He’s simply not a good player anymore, and teams would rather play better players than a bad one.

Ok its one thing to move on because a player is old. But from what I heard he was a good vet presence and helped both Wemby and the young guys in the locker room. If that’s true then how is Paul a toxic asshole? Also I heard the same thing about his OKC days, Shai and the guys there credited CP3 with helping them to learn how to win.
