This team has been absolutely decimated by injuries. Of their top 10 rotation players from last seasons finals run and previous ecf run, Siakam is the only player who hasn’t missed at least a minimum of 1 month, most 2+ months and or out for the season and/or no longer even on the team. They’re just now getting healthy and have gone .500 in their last almost 20 games. WTF is the pt of making the Pacers the example of anti tanking BS? That team is a hospital team atm at best.

Resting a starter maybe even 2 for a back 2 back, is a fair. Resting your entire starting lineup is crazy. I don’t understand why The Pacers were the only team to be fined for that when The Wizards did the same thing to the same team.

They didn’t rest their entire starting 5 though. Just Nesmith, Nembhard and Siakam. Huff and Walker who have been pressed into starting roles suited up. And who can blame the Pacers given their injuries to their most important players going back to last season. Nembhard and Nesmith have both missed chunks of time. The league is a bunch of assholes for this. There were about 10 other teams they should have called out before even looking Indiana’s way.

The Nets got fined for resting their starters on a B2B in a season they didn’t control their pick so they had no reason to tank they also had no All Stars on their roster.
