The claim that the Pistons offered $1,000,000 was made by a Partizan insider account, who always has the most reliable information and routinely publishes information like players signings and other stuff club related before the club even officialy anounces it (the Partizan equivalent of Shams).
Partizan wasn’t ready to let Bonga go during the middle of the season, even though Bonga himself wanted to continue his career in the NBA.
After being named the EuroBasket final MVP last year, putting up 20 points, five rebounds and three assists in the game against Turkey, Bonga stayed with Partizan Belgrade this season.
He’s currently averaging 9.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 1.4 APG and 1 SPG in the Euroleague.
