[Highlight] Suns owner Mat Ishbia drains a shot over 7’6 Tacko Fall
Fucking rainbow shot
where the fuck is the and 1
League is rigged against the Suns
That’s some ish
bia
bia bia why you fussin like a
where you from
Fuck Robert Horry
All my homies hate Robert Horry
Add this one to the data.
Nacho cheese industry lobbying to keep the Suns down
Did the Suns cut Tacko at some point?!
Imagine getting cut and then your 40 year old owner comes out and drops buckets on you
There also should’ve been a three second violation on Tacko (more like six seconds actually)
Straight up dotted him. That’s a shot you dream about hitting and he actually did it in game.
Horseshoe even
the real skyfucker has arrived
ishbia gonna fix our shot creation and rebounding problems
I’d pay $$$ to see him go one-on-one with Danny Gilbert.
Ishbia 11-0 and 3 flagrants on the game
Malice in the Palace II
An all owners game would actually be pretty fun to watch.
Jordan would re-buy the Hornets just to win.
pelinka played semi-pro iirc
or do you mean walter? lol. if bron is old, walter is ancient
pelinka isn’t an owner
Until LeBrown decides to buy the Vegas team…
I would pay to see LeBron dunk on Gayle Benson
Didn’t Dan Gilbert have a stroke?
Yes
Personally
I know r/nba shits on Ishbia for his roster management but I love him as an owner. Made the game accessible to all in Phoenix and also willing to spend.
Currently living in Phoenix, that guy is very fan friendly. Roster mistakes happen but he does a decent job as an owner.
Not only that, he came out and owned the fact that they put together a shit roster. I enjoy him as an owner
A passing knowledge of the game would have been an improvement over Sarver. The fact that we also got a guy who is actually passionate about winning and the fan experience is a godsend.
Can you provide more context to this? I’d like to know what he said and at what point.
He was recently on Zach Lowe’s show and mentioned that in hindsight that the big moves they made when he first took ownership (KD, Beal) were a mistake.
I honestly don’t think the KD trade was a mistake. The moves after it definitely were, but I think every owner would’ve made that move at that time.
KD trade took the team out of contention fwiw. Same thing boutta happen with the rockets
Suns were the only team to take two games off the Nuggets that postseason. They definitely were in contention that year. But after that, they took themselves out with the constant roster and coaching changes.
Beal trade did way more damage, don’t forget they gave the Nuggets their toughest shot and that was after a mid season trade
I don’t think they were contending again with Bridges and Cam
Bridges and Cam
Man… it’s been years but I still miss them :(
If Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and #10 takes us out of contention then we were never really in it anyway.
Not only that, but he’s also just not a shit person like our last owner.
plus $2 value menu in the arena
Shout out to the Hornets for just joining the $2 club! Hopefully other owners join in :)
this ^
Hijacking to share the menu:
$2 Hot dogs, soda, bottled water, chips, popcorn, beef taco, bean taco, and ice cream sandwiches
Lol toronto charges like 14$ for a hotdog
Tarriffs 🤷♂️
Some Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium shi
holy shit, that’s actually awesome in 2026, i’d love him too lol
I’m sure it’s Bar-S but \(2 in an arena is \)2 in an arena, Ishbia a real G
Nah it’s not that bar-s garbage they serve at Dbacks games. It’s a good beef hot dog.
Are the nachos any better?
It really just makes sense to get people in the door
He put the games on network television to my knowledge. I stuck paying $20/month for altitude+ which is the worst app experience
After Sarver I am never going to complain about an owner that wants to spend too much. I actually trust that Ishbia wants to win.
Ishbia made a massive mistake, but he cares about the team. Maybe he won’t learn from it (see Jerry Jones), but there’s a chance he will.
An owner like Sarver, the Adlesons, Reinsdorf, the Bidwill dynasty (the bad type)? You have to hope the stars align before they sabotage your team to save a buck.
He had a really bad first few years at putting together an organization but this year has been fun and he’s been nothing but a great owner to fans. He’s willing to spend money and draft capital to contend at the drop of a dime. He just got too excited and wasn’t selective enough in his decision making process.
To be fair, it was very well known for the previous year or more that KD really wanted to come to PHX, nobody at the time questioned the trade at all. And to be honest, he was a pretty good fit in the beginning until we traded Point God for Never Healed, Big Steal Bradley Beal. The collapse was for sure Beal’s fault.
Yeah I didn’t have a problem with the KD trade, but the Beal one was pretty inexplicable to me.
Being a passionate owner shouldn’t be something to get hated for.
$2 hotdogs, chips, and water at the arena.
Tacos, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches
I bought a $20 antenna last season and have literally watched every suns game without issue it’s incredible
i remember this subreddit wanted his head on a stake a year ago
He is also doing very good job on WNBA side.
+he did came out and admit they made a poor roster and own the mistake, i will take that over bullshit answer or not taking responsibility, and im not even a phoenix fan.
Went to both nba and wnba games 2$ menu , easy way to watch the game as local…
From neutral fan perspective he is a good owner and has passion about the game of basketball.
He just suffered from new owner syndrome when he took over. Wanted to win now by going for huge trades. The KD trade was okay-ish, but the Beal trade completely destroyed the team. Since then, he’s calmed down and just lets the staff do its job. And it shows. Overall, he seems to be a decent owner who actually cares about the sport and the fans.
Sarver was just so rapey too
Bruh we needed him to suit up last season lmao
ASAP
Everything I thought Tyus Jones would be
Lmao
I feel aligned
Maybe he didn’t want to give himself the max
Ishbia is who the grizz owner thinks he is. And he ain’t playing In this game cuz he’s helping the Russian army rn. Shoutout Pablo torre for finding out.
Yeah mate, that Pablo Torre episode was absolutely wild! It’s equal parts obvious and disgusting that Rob Pera is literally helping the Russian Military commit war crimes and murder thousands of innocent civilians.
I listen to every PTFO and I think the show should have done a better job talking about what they expected Ubiquity to do differently.
Ubiquity isn’t selling directly to Russia, third country distributors are violating sanctions (blatantly). Ubiquity needs better controls crack down on resellers who are violating sanctions.
One thing that they touched upon was software based regional restrictions, but I’m not convinced that’s a good or effective idea.
Ubiquity’s reseller to to Russia market is so small that the bad press from FDD and PTFO far outweighs the benefits. Hopefully the investigation leads to Ubiquity actually cracking down on third parties.
Realistically, there is almost no way to stop Ubiquity products from getting to Russia. The resellers just need to make it less obvious/easy. Someone in a third country is going to ship it over. Networking equipment isn’t restricted like weapons, it’s just not going to be possible to fully keep Ubiquity stuff out of Russia.
It’s sort of like how ISIS loves Toyota trucks, but Networking is even harder to embargo.
There’s an Ishbia episode as well in case you’re interested
Ishbia saw the Suns play this year and was inspired. Dude is hustling for real.
Even if he was just a walk on because he had money, 4 years of Izzo practices makes you a pretty damn fundamentally sound player.
People who think the last guy on a D1 bench is some scrub, I invite you to watch Roy Yuan’s YT channel and see how dominate that guy is against people who “just hoops”. He is literally the last guy on Stanford’s bench in D1.
I haven’t heard of Roy Yuan, but I’ll have to check out his channel by the sound of it. I still love Brian Scalabrine’s “I’m closer to LeBron than you are to me” line…. because it’s so damn true.
I was watching a Charlotte Hornets vs Atlanta Hawks game recently, and it was a wild reminder of just how ridiculous NBA players are.
Two ostensibly “average” NBA teams (I know the Hornets are cooking right now)…. but no player on either team missed a single fucking shot for a huge stretch of the game. The level that fringe NBA players are at is just insane. You give an “end of the bench” NBA guy a split-second of open space, and they are absolutely AUTOMATIC.
Ps. Sorry for being a pedantic nerd… but it’s ‘dominant’ to describe someone, not ‘dominate’, which is the verb. Eg. “Yuan is so dominant that he completely dominates guys who just hoop.”
Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, brother. I’m gonna check out Yuan’s YouTube channel. I love seeing guys who think they can hoop (because they’re the best player at their local park) go up against D1 players. It’s a great reality check every time, without fail. 😅😅
Yeah it’s the same at the NCAA D1 level, it’s insane the talent gap of each level of basketball. The Suns have a last place guy that just converted to a full contract called JB, he has a funny sounding last name. He can barely makes it in the NBA, yet he basically plays G league like it’s his breakfast, like he scores at such an ease it’s almost not breaking him a sweat.
And also NHD the Euroleague MVP last season can barely move the water cooler in the NBA, and he got released and signed the richest contract in Euro league history, almost right after he was released.
He wasn’t on the bench on merit, his dad donated money to the school to get him on the team.
Yeah, if he has even an inch of daylight it’s a bucket. Dude has a crazy quick, accurate shot.
I don’t think he had money straight out of high school, did he? I thought he became CEO of a big finance company after college?
Edit: My bad. I looked it up. He became CEO of his daddy’s company. 😅😅
Dude low key looks a bit like Izzo
This is a “I’ve never played competitive sports” comment.
Dan Gilbert could never
Well he is in a wheelchair now so it is unlikely he could do this
What happened?
Lebron crossed him
You guys have to quit blaming everything on James Jr.
DNP (old)
I know that all too well
He had a stroke a little over a year ago
I don’t know how to tell you this but it’s been 7 years.
Wow you are correct. Damn does time fly
You’re gonna build Gilbert a ramp
I’ll build a ramp up to your ass. Drive a Lionel up in there.
It’s funny because both guys wanted to buy the Pistons at some point and somehow Tom Gores ended up with them. Both Gilbert and Ishbia live in the Detroit area but Gores lives in California, it’s all so dumb, but all three are MSU grads at least
This rabbit hole gets even more fun when Ishbia’s company(UWM) was the Pistons jersey sponsor until last year when one of Gilbert’s companies(StockX) replaced them
One of Gilbert’s companies used to be a decently-sized sponsor of the Suns, the day Ishbia came in that was burned down lmao
Oh the Rocket Mortgage/UWM rivalry burns deep here in metro Detroit, they hate each other while being headquartered 25 miles away from each other
AND ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Possible flagrant hes all up in his landing zone.
Lmaoo, how did the Griz mascot get in?
Team that was down at half got to add a mascot for perimeter defense for the third quarter
I love this game because it’s always Candyland: Basketball Version
Our mascot is lowkey underrated. The storylines they have with him are crazy
Haha, I’ve seen a few clips of him doing some of the most random things. Might be the best mascot in the league.
Its a bit weird seeing an owner out there but nice shot
He was a walk-on for a D1 team (Michigan State). Even though he probably never played, as a sub 6-foot guy being able to make it on the team means he had to have been really good in regular people standards.
Not just a D1 team but the national champions. He was on that team with Mo Pete, Mateen Cleaves and Charlie Bell
I mean, you could tell from this clip. There’s not a lot of 46 year olds who could split the double and attack that mid-range with tenacity. I’m not kidding, I had no idea he played, and my first reaction was damn! I know guys in their early 30s who move much slower. That was a REALLY quick move for someone his age, and with finesse too.
Splitting the double like that was what stood out to me. Anyone can get lucky and have a rainbow drop in.
He played the last 30 seconds of the 2000 NCAA Finals game. Boy was running for the ball to try to get a shot off but he didn’t make it.
Yeah I saw some footage of him playing in college at Michigan State, and he had legit game. He’s 46 years old now, but he was a scrappy, legitimately solid point guard.
How did he get that bag to go from a walk-on to an owner?
Mark Cuban also played in one and fist bumped David Stern
This might make him the coolest owner in the league until someone else laces em up
That quick dribble to pass through two defense and get into the lane is good
Next time Book is out he should suit up
The Jackie Moon special
Tacko with the “you did not just” shove at the end there
Isnt Tacko an active player in Euroleague, what is he doing in a stateside celebrity game getting scored on by a fifty year old owner?
Well I can tell you what he is not doing, improving his odds for an NBA contract
He looked salty af lmao
It is honestly a good thing to see an owner that can not only play ball, but shoot other Tacko Fall.
It’s like Dick Cheney. Dude wasn’t in the eastern files at all, he just bombed people for the love of the game.
Both good shooters
Lmao that’s actually fucking hilarious and awesome
Now we gotta see Ishbia vs Wemby
Suns have been so good this season that it’s even spreading to the owner
Owner/player
$2 tacos and 2 over Tacko
Tacko Fall looks ridiculously tall against other basketball players. Seeing him on a court against regular people is disorienting. It looks impossible.
Looks like a video game
Bol Bol would have swatted that weak shit into the ninth row
Thon Maker would’ve done the same and jumped clear over Ishbia in the process
bro looking like Dbook out there
Power of Friendship Suns extends even to ownership
What a shot.
Matt Ishbia is 5’10” (1.78 m) btw
What timeline is this?
This is fucking awesome
the mascot’s playing too what the fuck?
Whys a fking mascot there
Is that a mascot on the court wtf
I’m more amused there’s a mascot playing.
lol some ppl dont know ishbia is a ncaa champion
Ishbia might be a nepo baby but I still like this guy….
Can hoop. Made games free for suns fans $2 menu
What a legend. My loser anss owner could learn a thing or two from him, but Vivek is a poverty owner anyways. Net worth of $700M. SMH. Balmer get a check from MSFT every year worth more than that.
No foul?
AND 1!!!
Reckless close out. Where’s the foul?
Bro actually hooped legit ball. Over tacko is nuts tho.
Not only that, they were playing 5-on-6. That’s crazy.
Moving pretty good for 46!
Best to ever do it
Glad to see he does just love ball.
He’s hoopin
Would love to see an east v west mascots game
They are using mascots, the game is cooked my goodness
Ain’t no way lmaooo
What am I looking at here?
Can I just say Fall should not be in this game?
Why he isnt even good enough for nbl he has to get a game somewhere
Maybe the local gym.
Pity Taco is playing for Celeb All Star at his age.
That’s former NCAA champion Mat Ishbia for you.
That’s 2000 ncaa champion Matt ishbia to you
That’s my governor!!!
I know the grizzlies owner hot rn. Ishbia taking his hoopin owner crown
And one too Suns been hooping this year
Next time put Vivek Ranadive out there. He’ll only charge a billion dollars for the privilege of his presence.
And 1?
And 1
sign a 10 day wtf
Showing his players how it’s done
… Is that Jazz Bear?
Grizz
Wait wtf??!?!?
Real shit, can the team owner gubnah be rostered without impacting the cap
You know he was a baller. Just can see it in his moves. Was playing hard and hustling all game
lol they got a furry out there?
Didn’t he play at Michigan State?
How is it fair to have tacko fall in the celeb game lol
Man hits a rainbow shot and all the top comments to fellating a billionaire lol
UP NEXT: IS ISHBIA GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FOR THE SUNS HIMSELF?
Why the fuck is there a gorilla on the court lmao
There’s a gorilla on the court?
I think that’s a mascot
The celebrity game was genuinely hilarious this year. Taco fall having 20 and 20 was killing me.
I’ve seen enough, Ishbia is the Leader of the Bench Unit!
Even Wemby can’t block that one. /s
We have Steve Nash at home
Tacko “made him” fall
