Kendrick Perkins: Let’s stop being nice about it and throwing out the word “tanking.” No, it’s actually throwing games. You’re trying to throw games… I would’ve fined they ass more
Smartest thing perk has said
pro-point shavers get mad at this framing because they dont understand the difference between sitting players pre-game for a younger player vs having your team on the court try to lose
If you support this, there is no reason not to support a team scoring on their own basket over and over to lose
I wonder if that ever ends up happening lol. A team throwing the ball in their own hoop to lose the game.
I want to say they do brackets a weird way in some states high schools, and two high school basketball teams both wanted to get into the losers bracket, and supposedly they did just that
I can’t find anything on it so maybe an urban legend though
Something like this did happen in a professional soccer league, I believe it was South America. It had something to do with goal differential in a tournament and it caused one team to try and keep scoring own goals
Both teams were trying to lose! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbados_4%E2%80%932_Grenada
Imagine a competition of uncontested 3s into your own bucket. That said, I think the easiest way would be a player shoots a 3 towards their own bucket, then another player disrupts the shot, leading to a goaltend… 3 perfect points every time.
I mean if both teams try to score on their own basket then we have just looped all the way back around to real basketball
Just with 8 second violation making it a much faster shot clock. Sounds hilariously fun
This isn’t what point shaving is. Point shaving is done for money.
No one is on the court trying to lose
that’s why they put them on the bench early.
The players that are in are young players trying to earn a future in the nba.
The coach
2 tanking teams should play a competitive game where they both try to score on their own baskets and play defense on the other team. Winning team losses, problem solved.
Scoring on your basket is the logical end conclusion to this degenerate behavior. I understand Lauri and JJ might be on a minutes restriction but, why is that an acceptable excuse? They should be on the injury report at that point.
People watch sports to see a winner and a loser, if you wanna protect your pick, quit the season and forfeit the rest of your games.
Edit: Lifelong blazer fan that is happy the team is OK now but that 3 year tank with Chauncey (gambling allegations confirmed) has honestly broken my belief in the integrity of sports.
If you support this you hate sports and are a loser
It’s not though. I guarantee his ass hasn’t been watched a single Pacers or Jazz game all season.
Why is this the go-to rebuttal. Who gives a fuck about watching shitty teams play basketball when the conversation is actually that we just don’t want them to break the floodgates and set a new precedent?
The tanking floodgates were already opened years ago, but now that it’s small market teams, everyone is up in arms.
76ers tanking: Aw sweetie 😍😍
Jazz tanking: HELLO, HUMAN RESOURCES
Because if you watched our games you would know we aren’t tanking
Ik people clown tf out of Perk, but I’m convinced ESPN just empowers him to be a dumbass. I remember when he started out and he had much better takes and used to call a spade a spade. ESPN brings out the worst in opinion-givers
Of course they empower him to be a dumbass – I thought everyone knew by now that the vast majority of commentators are playing a character version of themselves?
Nah his first thing was coming on to shit on Durant, which is probably why it resonated as calling a spade a spade ig. And then he went on to shit on Westbrook and Harden, while claiming to be the real leader of that squad.
He’s definitely hamming it up at times but its moreso an exaggeration of a character than being someone entirely foreign.
Except he basically said its ok if the prospect is worth it
That means he is being smart and honest (double first for Perk)
Deep down, you would be okay with that too.
Right after Wemby and Flagg, could you really say it isn’t worth it?
He aint wrong. If there was a LeBron, Wemby, Flagg, Shaq, Duncan etc type of prospect in the draft then its more understandable.
Smartest thing to say would have been - it’s just basketball, who gaf
Has perk said anything about the clippers paying a player under the table? Because if not then he’s just repeating Disney’s talking points and can shut the fuck up.
Heartbreaking, worst person you know made a great point
He is rarely right, but he is 100% right here
Throwing games has too much gambling implication but I don’t think espn would ever have anything to do with gambling
Throwing games would indicate players are actually trying to lose which I don’t think is the case
I think a team in the jazz’s position repeatedly sitting their best player for the whole 4th quarter counts as throwing
Theres too much technicalities since theyre doing it in a smart way. Their strategy is super smart, but they cant really admit to it because they would admit to tanking and untill they do they technically didnt do anything wrong. You cant tell a coach who and when to play, he can always say that someone was gassed, not feeling well or was showing an attitude or that he simply believed that he needed a different lineup.
Obviously they got a little too cocky with it by not calling any timeouts or anything during the 4th which is kinda ridiculous, but still.
The funniest part is that theyve won half their games they did it in so they kinda got punished for the idea alone.
I kinda sympathise with them, because they are a great team atm in a difficult situation. If that pick went to anyone other than the conference favorites and their division rivals it would be truly outrageous, but now theyre just being smart. Hate the player not the game.
Dont be a pussy Adam and actually fix the protections bullshit instead of punishing teams for abusing a shitty system.
Its kinda like with flopping, do it well and u just get an insane advatage, overdo it and you get fined. So how about fixing the core issue instead of these useless bandaid solutions.
Theres too much technicalities since theyre doing it in a smart way.
except there isn’t, that’s why the league fined them.
The league fined them because of the backlash. Silver is spineless and wouldnt do anything whatsoever if people didnt care.
On the other hand Stern wouldve sent the entire franchise to Siberia for the season for something like that, but he wasnt great either.
No one gives a fuck about backlash, what world you live in?
You got pedophiles running around with billions of dollars screaming fuck the law. You really think they care what Joe Dirt like me and you think? Man GTFOH
500k fine kinda says you can arbitrarily fine a team under suspicion of tanking. I keep seeing all these posts of how do you stop it x y z. They’re doing it / they just did it - using their best judgement. They don’t need mathematical formulas to see shit a child can understand.
Players probably pissed as hell “why you take me out? I was just heating up”
Sitting healthy players = throwing the game
The coach is the one throwing the games
But what if the coaches are? Executives? Where do you draw the line as to who counts as a participant
executives tank, yes. That is accepted as part of the meta game of the NBA.
What happens during the 48 minutes of game time should be protected from acts clearly meant to lose the game. That is throwing the game.
The GM is throwing the game.
No not see the step backs by guys that would never do a step back if not been told to lose. It’s implied that if for example, you tell Shaq to play like Steph that you’re telling Shaq to lose. Players aren’t stupid.
The coaches can be trying to throw the game even if the individual players don’t
Espn would never have anything to do with gambling is the joke of the century.
rainer wolfcastle
They’re shocked, shocked! To see there is gambling here.
Gambling more than ever is complete undermining all major sports and sports events
It’s Vegas. They just bake that shit in. They somehow know everything that is or could happen before it does. I’m sure the lines for the Jazz games have just moved towards the opponent even more, even though their players are healthy.
Sometimes I see the Sixers are favored against a team with a better record and I ask myself why. The answer is almost always because the other team is on a B2B, but if it’s not that it’s something.
Vegas will always just adjust.
Look at buddy out here being an activist
Vegas is definitely taking tanking into account with their lines though
Teams are gambling on having a worst record in order to win the #1 pick
But the Pacers won the game they accused us of tanking?
Heartbreaking: the worst person you know made a good point
Edit: thanks for the award!
Perk is truly cool, listen to his older takes when he was trying to get on espn. ESPN probably forced him to be outlandish. He had a really good episode on all the smoke recently
He’s had some stinker takes like the embiid jokic MVP year I remember, but he’s smarter than a lot of people give him credit for and has some interesting things to say sometimes.
And his attempt to say monotonous was amazing
That’s not how you spell Mody Moosey. Moses Moosey. Mody something, ah fuck I forgot.
I remember at the beginning of that season Perk actually seemed like he was more in favor of Jokic winning, talking about how Jokic was his sons favorite player and what not. Then he just completely flipped and started accusing voters of being racist and everything went to shit.
I think his take was worded so poorly that its hard to give him grace. But he was overall correct in that white players are just perceived differently by the media, and fans at large. Jokic is a generational player and unless he’s injured will be a top 15 player ever easily. But white guys do at times suffer (I think of someone like Caruso who’s athleticism was overlooked due to being white) and at times benefit from the way they’re viewed.
Jokic and embiid were neck-and-neck and it could have gone to either of them that year imo. I think Perk spoke on something he wasn’t fully prepared to explore and brought out the discussion in the most moronic manner possible. Highkey I wish folks with microphones would shut up about it unless they’re willing to actually have the convo with proper respect.
He pretty much admitted on some podcast or something that he says crazy or outlandish things cuz it makes good tv. And it works, cuz it pisses everyone off and makes them talk about how much they hate him and his takes
It just sucks that that’s most of sports media now. It’s not even a bit or people playing heel, they all have to do it
It’s like streamers they’re all clip farming to try to hit that viral clip. Or like the news with a panel where everything has to be a debate. That’s all espn is now. Thats why everyone is going for alternative or independent media like YouTube. Look at McAfee before they got bought out
I used to think it was silly to think the network was forcing people to be dumb but then after some of the stories that people have had after interviewing with them, etc. I feel like it’s very likely that they at least encourage them to say dumb shit that will get clipped and posted on socials
Pistons fan🧐
The worst person you know?!?!?!?!?!? Are you living under a rock? Not that I judge; I mean, that’s a housing choice, not a personality trait
It’s a meme
My 9⁄11
At least someone’s talking about it
Literally everybody is talking about this instead of the season. The NBA has a problem on its hands, nobody cares about their actual product going into the biggest weekend for their league. (All Star Weekend)
literally everyone and their mom has been talking about it for two weeks straight, it’s r/nba favorite topic right now. You guys complain about it 24⁄7.
He’s mad because if our pick falls outside the Top 8 then his team would get it but the Wiz are tanking to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Same reason OKC are kicking up a fuss about the Jazz. They just want the benefits for their team, they don’t care about anyone else.
Oh tanking is only now an issue lololol
Yeah. The evil unethical Pacers. Unreal
Thank you dude. Siakam is playing his ass off, grinding hard enough to be an All Star on one of the worst teams in the league, record-wise. Meanwhile, we’re actually winning games lately, and def not sitting dudes in the 4th with the game on the line. How dare they.
We almost never sit anyone. They just came off an overtime game to the Knicks on a back to back and we also lost furphy the night before to a torn ACL. This season Hali, obi, TJ, nembhard, Nesmith, Mathurin, Kam, furphy, taelon have all been injured. IJax was returning from his own ACL injury. Zubac is on paternity leave. So we can’t sit our players against the nets who also sat MPJ and others plus cut Cam Thomas. But our tanking job is fine worthy.
People are gonna bring up the Process 76ers, but that was different. They just shipped off anyone who was good but didn’t seem good enough.
Utah knows damn well that their players are good and is, not trading them, and refusing to play them. I mean, cmon.
The irony of okc driving this is killing me
Yeah common lmao
The risk is they give their draft pick to the best team in the league who also rebuilt by tanking for years. Why the sudden outrage? The only way Utah gets star players is through the draft. What would you do?
You ask why the sudden outrage, and it is because OKC front office is pushing the narrative to get the Jazz draft pick. Shady shit.
Better late than never
I just don’t know how you can criticize any of the teams when throwing games is objectively the best path to win in the future. Its a complete joke that the league is fining teams for doing what is in their best interest.
Every year teams throw games for playoff matchups, that’s no different in my eyes.
That’s the meta problem the league has never been able to figure out. How do you not incentivize throwing games but also reward bad teams? I think the league has to get crazy and maybe think about a lottery tournament akin to the nba cup lol the way the ncaa tourney has an NIT maybe the nba playoffs need a lottery playoffs. Then you can reward the worst teams by winning. The bottom 10 teams that aren’t in the play in play a mini tourney and that decides the draft order. Imagine how hard the pacers and Jazz would be playing to keep their pics. Maybe the wizards bring back Trae and ad for the tourney! Could be exciting.
i don’t think its that compicated, give all teams that dont make the playoffs the same odds, give the teams that lose the play in some other lower odds, and then teams that make the play offs another set of even lower odds.
worse case scenario the best team that missed the playoffs gets a good pick and then is more ready for the playoffs later
And this is how bad teams stay bad forever.i could go 10-72 and have the same odds as a team that went like 41-41 but lost in the play in
Teams already stay bad forever. And giving the 10 win team an excellent player isn’t going to make them good, whereas a bubble team getting Flagg would actually elevate them to a contender
Along that line of thought, I would actually give teams around 10-14 the best odds, provide a strong incentive to try and be good. I dont buy the idea that a team cant go from 30th to 20th without winning a lottery
Just look at the Pistons with Cade. They were fucking horrible and then they got a star player and now they are leading the east. You can’t do shit without a star player in the NBA and lots of star players actually mask horrible front offices and coaching
To the previous commenters point, the pistons were fucking horrible because they wanted to get a guy like Cade. If the incentive to get a guy like Cade is be 33-49 instead of 15-67 we wouldn’t see the abjectly terrible teams we have to see every year.
Is it? I can tell you right now since the OBAMA administration my team has moved up ONCE in the Draft.
When you don’t get rewarded for being middle of the pack for twenty years you yearn for something different.
That’s why we are tanking. To make sure it happens.
I think the point here being no team would go 10-72 if there’s no incentive to go 10-72 lol
You’ll just have the marginal playoff teams tanking then. Imagine being like an 8 seed but if you throw a few games you get to play in a tournament with a bunch of bad teams, and your reward is a potential generational player who immediately catapults you into championship contention.
It is clearly denigrating the perception of the league. Teams and the NBA have been projecting to fans that the regular season is meaningless for years. It’s starting to add up, and fans are getting the message. This is not good for the league in the long run.
Get rid of the draft problem solved
The Jazz, Pacers and Wizards traded at the deadline for allstar caliber players to stash for next year and then started throwing games to secure a high pick.
I preferred it when teams tanked by trading away their good players. We would get some young guys scrapping hard but still losing and the talented vets on playoff teams.
American sports brought this to themselves with no relegation
Any system that rewards being bad is awful
There’s literally no solution
any system where the richest teams get every good player is also awful. tanking sucks but i’ll still take the draft system over prorel
Also, tanking isn’t always rewarded
The issue isn’t with the current draft system, the problem is the eagerness to bottom out when the team isn’t really that bad
How do you incentivize being a mid team though?
I mean the league has done that by implementing the play in and smoothing the lottery odds we’ve seen teams like the Mavs and hawks leap up to #1
That just means teams like the wizards will be tanking for another year since they ended up with Tre Johnson instead of Cooper Flagg
I posted in another thread but I propose they incentivize the playin spots as an area of small bump in the odds of winning.
If non playoff/in teams are at let’s say 15% odds, play in seeds, 10-7 would get a slight bump in their odds( 10th seed, 16%, 9th, 17th. You could even limit this to seeds 10 and 9 wherein 10th seed gets 17%, 9th bumps up to 19% if it’s too generous for seeds 8 and up.
Essentially eliminates min/maxing tanking by no longer maxing out the Ls, rewards middling teams, really changes the landscape me thinks.
Probs a flawed idea tho
I feel like this would just change which teams are tanking rather than eliminating it. Your system would now encourage the fringe contenders in the 3-6 range try to drop down. Lets face it, while the recent parity in the league has been awesome, the nbahas historically been a 2-3 team race each year, and a typically 5 seed in the eastern conference would not be a true contender. A team like that would see the increased lottery odds and try to tank into the play in slot
Yeah but those 3-6 seeds are risking going home early opting for a play in spot, for what some slight bump in the odds. I suppose it’s a calculated risk but this mitigates deliberate tanking by incentivizing wins at an incremental bump in the odds.
If you are a playoff team I don’t think you risk tanking down to those spots unless you find yourself in a scenario where you don’t think you can win it all, but you’ve already invested in winning that season since you are in the top 6….
Redditors love to talk about how superior relegation systems are but every European soccer league ends up being dominated by the top teams to an extent that is essentially unheard of in the major U.S. leagues. Just looking at the top 5 domestic leagues:
UK: 29 of past 30 titles won by 5 teams
France: PSG has won 11 of the past 13 titles
Germany: Bayern Munich won 13 in a row
Italy: Only 4 clubs have won in last 23 years
Spain: 3 clubs won past 21 straight titles
It’s not an either or situation. You can have a salary cap and relegation. In fact plenty of sports do.
You could have relegation plus draft, where it would disincentivize tanking because if you’re too bad you get relegated. Would be too risky for teams to intentionally lose
I’d rather see teams tank for picks than have a league where only the top 2-5 teams have a chance to win every season. Promotion/relegation is a big part of the reason why the top European clubs have a strangle hold on their leagues. Big imbalance of resources that grows bigger the longer you stay up compared to teams bouncing up and down
Europeans refuse to believe that maybe we dont want relegation in OUR sports leagues, fantastic that it works for you, please shut the fuck up
I feel like people who want relegation in American sports are primarily NFL fans, and forget about the infrastructure of minor leagues/farm teams like in MLB and NHL (G League too, though to a lesser extent). Do those entities go away? Or do they somehow continue to exist in an overcrowded market? Does every minor league team get larger stadiums? How do prospects develop?
We’ll see how it plays out, but the PWHL has an interesting solution where teams earn points for draft order for every win after they’ve been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. So even the worst team would have to turn it on after getting eliminated to get the top spot in the draft.
The other sports are nowhere near as bad with tanking and no one in this country has the appetite for the Bayern Lakers or some bullshit. It’s the lesser evil by a wide margin.
If Kendrick Perkins agree with how the league reacted, we know the league is wrong.
The NBA sucks to watch. Been that way for a while. Horrible product.
I personally love a “tanking” Pacers team taking the Knicks to OT against their best dudes and getting the dub. Then going to a tanking Nets team, and getting the dub again, to make it 9-9 in their last 18. Then to get fined for “tanking” even though our only star, Pascal, has been playing so many minutes and putting in so much effort he’s an All Star on the worst team in the league.
Can’t comment on the Jazz though.
ESPN showing this when they also advertise gambling every 10 minutes is funny
Except that… the the Jazz won most of the games that they’re accused of “throwing”. Surely throwing means you lose.
I mean it’s obvious the org and coach are trying to lose, the guys on the floor are still playing their hardest.
Some of the most egregious attempts to throw a game via substitution patterns were the Wizards’ recent wins against the Kings and Pistons. Seriously, just go look at the box score. Sitting all of the starters while winning and playing the back end of the bench (including Skal) the entire 4th quarter.
Coach was doing everything he could to throw the game, the Kings and Pistons just couldn’t get out of their own way.
“Throwing games” when the Jazz literally won 1⁄2 the games they got fined for. What’s interesting is the Jazz sat everyone in the 4th the next game too and won (against the kings but still).
Finally agree with Perkins on something
I think the integrity of the NBA was gone a long time ago. I love how people are pretending this is the boiling point.
No, it’s not fucking throwing games. Throwing games is when you intentionally score on your own basket, or intentionally throw the ball out of bounds to give the ball to your opponent. That’s throwing games. Every player on the court was trying to win despite the coach’s or front office’s intention. You have to respect that. To say it’s throwing games is literally saying those players are so terrible that if you play them, it’s an automatic loss. It’s a pretty fucking insulting to those players IMO.
He’s correct, similar to how having Perkins on your panel is throwing your sports coverage.
The pacers won
Pacers are literally .500 over their last 10 starting players like Micah Potter and Kam Jones because of injuries. Insane to fine them
Thank you! See…someone gets it
To me there is a distinction. Being structurally bad to try to give yourself a better chance at a high draft I think is okay. However when you start sitting guys for fourth quarters and stuff like that I do believe it’s a step too far and needs to be punished.
Giving fans 3 actual quarters of basketball to watch is worse than giving them none?
This distinction is a run-around way to convince yourself to care about one and not the other
Right I think the Spurs trading Dejounte so they could be worse to try and get Wemby is better than if they just benched him or made up a fake injury.
They’re the same to me. As long as you reward losing, you can’t punish teams for trying to lose.
There’s no incentive to win games unless you’re a contender for championship.
The Jazz will be playoff contenders next year and make the finals within 5
Finals has to be a joke
this dude is such a damn idiot.
ESPN is tanking by employing Kendrick Perkins
If you don’t like tanking - fix the system - give bottom dweller teams more of a fucking chance - and tell the refs to stop giving all the stars and THOSE teams treatment - that’s throwing games. A holes.
Lol it’s funny, come next year we won’t get this kinda discourse
And here I thought being a starting center who averaged more fouls than points in the playoffs was throwing games. Huh. TIL!
Need to change to rules to discourage this
Perk spitting sense for a change. It truly cheapens the product, and I’m glad they’re saying that fining rich people pennies doesn’t do shit.
A broken clock correctly telling the time 🙏
he aint wrong. call spade a spade.
Idk why people are married to the draft system, you can still have parity without it. This idea that LA and NY get all the players was always dumb to me, the rookies wanna go where they’ll get ball. College sports don’t have a draft and I just watched Indiana go undefeated in football.
IU is one of the richest schools in the country and they have a huge alumni network that is also very rich.
Rare Perkins W
“Throwing” implies illegality but I agree with his point entirely
Yea fine them more. Only the kings ethically tank. lol
Extremely rare (only?) Perkins W
Common Thunder fan L
yeah but they’re not gonna do that man
How many more wins would Utah have if they tried?
Nothing but facts.
Just take money away from the revenue splits if they repeatedly suck
Teams pay a luxury tax for trying to compete how about a tanking tax for teams obviously mailing it in?
You know how messed this shit is when the village idiot is sounding like the smartest person in the room
I swear ESPN must have a bonus incentive for every ridiculous hyperbole one of their “analyst” throws out there. It’s crazy how a topic drags out when there’s nothing to talk about.
People pretending like they gaf like they were rushing to their screens to watch Jazz games lmao. All the while shitting on teams like the Bulls for being a play-in team every year.
The only solution to counteract tanking is having a promotion/releagtion system like in football but it doesn’t work with us sports. So tanking is here to stay I guess.
I think about some of the high win totals we’ve seen over the past 10 years or so. How many of those were against teams that would have been disappointed with a W, especially at the end of the season? And if you try to tell me sneaking into the play in is just not worth it for a franchise, I offer the Jimmy Butler Miami Heat, twice, who made outstanding runs from a high seed. The Lakers made it to the WCF from the Play in. I agree with Perk. You know what might help is making the first round of the playoffs 5 games again.
Bro this is such a deflection. They said they already fixed tanking and they did make changes to make it less appealing.
But why does it matter right now? That is not a top 3 problem for the NBA or fans.
Perkins isn’t the greatest analyst but sometimes he is so fucking correct
Says the guy who was scamming college athletes
Yeah I get it. Okcs pick and complaining about it. But we’ve been bitching about this for years. No team should be eligible for a top 5 pick if they have to throw games for it.
Didn’t the pacers win the game they’re getting fined for
Kendrick is the nba face that’s Dan orlosky for NFL. Never have been stars. What’s perks moment of the NBA? Orlosky is the guy that stepped out lithe back of the endzone.
Getting dunked on by Blake griffin
theWorstPersonYouKnowJustMadeAGreatPoint.png
I’m convinced I’m in an alternate universe because I’ve heard Perk say smart things for the past couple of days.
I hate agreeing with Perk. On the other hand how else will a small market team retool?
It’s just basketball.. it’s not that deep Kendrick
Surprised how the NBA doesn’t deal with match fixing like this given people beat on the NBA. Like the Jazz up by 17 with a quarter to go would have been a safety beat if not for the match fixing aka tanking. Not sure how they don’t get into legal trouble.
BSPN was promoting Tanking for the past 30 years. Now that rigged draft being talked upon, they ditching shit elsewhere.
Did LAC and Ballmer got penalized for illegal bribing?
I think the way the Jazz are tanking is more respectful to the fans.
We all know we trying to lose but at least we will give yall a good product.
Compare that to the wizards where Trae young and Anthony Davis could play but they not so fans gotta watch the trash bowl
The one Perk take I can halfway get behind
Kendrick is stupid… Throwing games to lose games is tanking…
I wish Adam Silver fined Perk for implying racism when discussing MVP voting lol
I fucking hate Perk. But I hate him a little less after this video.
Why are the media talking about farm teams now?
I thought they just talk about them if they want their Stars to be traded to the Lakers and Miami?
Genuine question: teams have been tanking for decades. Why are we focusing so much of this now for the “integrity of the league” when we literally have players gambling on their own teams and billionaires blatantly circumventing the cap. Seems like a red herring to me more than anything else tbh.
I mean, thrown games don’t even matter when you can just strike a deal to trade your franchise player for a number 1 pick.
I’ll guarantee Utah doesn’t get their pick because silver will ensure they don’t get a top pick regardless of their record due to all of this. The Top pick will go to whatever owner, in whichever large market sucks off silver. I’m guessing bulls, Mavs, nets or hawks.
League is fake as hell. The Jazz are like the Washington generals of the NBA.
The nba has too many teams
Perk doesn’t watch the Pacers. Duh.
fine them in lottery percentage points
Wow Perk said something coherent.
Z jk look ki
I wonder if getting rid of the lottery altogether would be better, just treat the incoming class as free agents and have some cap rules about how much they can spend with limitations on playoff teams etc. It is kind of weird that players are forced to “work” for a team that picks them vs who they actually want to play for.
