Yea that’s the weird part. The defensive personnel and effort is there but watching a lot of the games where the Spurs go down early a lot of times it’s because they’re getting out shot near the 3 point line.

For some reason, it seems like the defenders tend to prepare against a drive, with Wemby as the back-up, which allows offensive players just a little bit more of a gap to shoot over them.

Yeah Duncan was super highly touted straight out of the gate, but we were a small market team with little historical success deep in the playoffs and it was kind of expected we’d fumble the bag, Tim almost left for Orlando in 2000 or 2001. I think it was fair then, and it’s fair now. When he had the highest +- on the Warriors, he was playing great. He didn’t play good today and he had the lowest +- despite an otherwise okay box score (yes, I know single game +- isn’t worth anything).

The Warriors have struggled on offense and it feels like he tries to take over the game but he’s just not offensively talented enough to do so. He plays the best when the Warriors aren’t desperate for offense.

I think this is the biggest point that causes people to call him ass and when he’s at his lowest. When he feels as though the offense needs momentum and he doesn’t see an established star like Jimmy or Steph on the floor, he thinks that he needs to be the one to do it.

It gets him into trouble and generally has not worked out. There have been little moments here or there, but the majority of the time he usually gets caught trying to take a tough mid-range shot that doesn’t stress the defense in any way.

He plays at his best in the flow of the offense and in read and react situations. Not when he’s dictating or trying to save the offense. It’s in those situations that the internet gets the funny memes of him rather than all the majority of the time he’s on the floor.

I was never even close to turning off the game because our AMAZING play. Nope - never had a doubt that we win by double digits.

Almost turned it off when Warriors could not miss and we could not hit anything. Keldon gave some life to the team. Really happy they did not give up and came back.
