Kawhi was hooping and clutch, it is what it is. Terrible that we needed 3 to tie given this team’s weakness. Surprised Reed wasn’t in the game for the final shot though. Ime clearly doesn’t give him much rope.

Reed was super hot in the first half, and it helped make the ball movement and general offensive flow look so much better than normal. But we kept turning the ball over and the Clippers came back. The small-ball lineup with Tate and Bari at the 5 helped us come back though.

KD TOs were nasty tonight, but he usually carries so I can’t be that mad. Sengun is more inconsistent game-to-game with his scoring and needs to be better, even if he did a lot of the other things well tonight.

Need Reed to keep improving on stuff like his two-man game with Sengun. His skillset helps so much with this team.

Ball handling and PG play continues to be a weakness without FVV. Amen and Reed aren’t up to task yet and KD and Sengun should not be played full time like that.

The rebounding was disgusting. So hard to prevent Houston from getting 2nd and even 3rd chances.

Something that worked in our favor was a quicker pace, pushing the ball forward on the occasions we could limit them to a one and done. I feel that the Harden offense would’ve been a tad slow to exploit Houston crashing the offensive boards on every possession.

I’ve noticed a couple times in clutch situations he’ll wait for the clock to run down like halfway before taking a timeout. That’s just bad coaching right there, either take the timeout immediately and draw up a play, or trust your guys to play it out. Yes because it’s clear he has talent. He gets downhill with ease, can lock in on isolation defense, and works hard for rebounds.

If his 3PT shot climbs back up to that 36-37% range, then he’s a sound starter (though not some super star). It took time for John Collins to acclimate to the team, and he has looked fantastic for us when he hit his stride. I don’t think it’s crazy to think that can happen to Mathurin, especially if/when we get a guy like Garland who will elevate our overall style of play.

Rockets as like many of these risk averse, ambitious-less teams do, have become too infatuated with their draft picks. Can’t believe they stood pat at the deadline.

Waited too long to trade Jalen, Reed has no business being a starting PG on a contender and Sengun is basc Sabonis i.e. not good enough offensively to hide his deficiencies as a C.
