Alvarado wasn’t worth a first, but he was certainly worth more than 2 seconds. Especially to Pels fans.

I’ve got a brother in NOLA; I’m a secondary Pels fan, and I can tell you for sure that Jose has been the heart of that team for awhile now. He was there for a lot of the adversity the last few years, and has been a steadfast piece (and a dawg who hustles and plays with grit every time) amidst the tumult.

Like you know Jose is going to bring it, even if there is no chance of a win because the rest of the team is legit G Leaguers due to injuries, etc. I mean, Pierre the Pelican had to hold him back from fighting the Suns for God’s sake - he was like the most popular guy on the team. They didn’t HAVE to trade him.

And while I’m a Knicks fan since the late 80s and I will genuinely die with a blue and orange coffin lol - and I think Jose is literally the perfect piece for this team (because we need a dude that will go all in EVERY time) - I also think Joe Dumars is an absolute moron for this trade.
