Nigel Hayes-Davis, who was recently cut by the Bucks after being traded from the Suns, signs a 2.5 year deal worth at least $11.800.000 (after taxes) with Euroleague giant Panathinaikos
Hayes-Davis returned to the NBA after being named the Euroleague Final Four MVP last season, as well as a member of the All-Euroleague First Team.
He averaged 1.3 PPG and 1.2 RPG in 7.2 MPG for the Suns on a $2.000.000 deal (before taxes) before being traded to the Bucks, who cut him immediately afterwards.
In a bidding war between Euroleague clubs Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce and Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Greek club got Hayes-Davis on a 2.5 year deal worth at the very least $11.800.000 (after taxes).
Given reports that Hayes-Davis would only return to the Euroleague if he became the highest paid player, which is currently Vasilije Micic with a $5.600.000 annual salary, his contract could very likely be worth even more.
