The Lakers just gave up the most points in a first half in franchise history (84) to the Spurs

The previous record stood for almost 70 years, when the Boston Celtics put up 83 first half points against the Minneapolis Lakers on February 27, 1959. They would go on to win that game 173-139.

I’m not sure if it’s the most in any half against the Lakers, but it’s definitely the most for a first half.

What a half by the Spurs, and particularly by Wemby (37 and 8 at half).
