[Highlight] Walt Fraizer on Zubac not playing: “It’s called tanking, folks.”
Clyde is still the best in the business
Tanking, yet they have the lead.
Tanking teams winning games, so hot rn
It’s so blatant now they almost failed to inbound the ball with timeouts still and only 6 seconds left. And now they’re doing a terrible inbound side out of bounds too. So fucking blatant it’s ridiculous.
Knicks fighting to win so hard and Pacers fighting to lose so hard. Now Siakam is missing free throws. This is embarrassing as fuck.
Siakim’s been terrible from the stripe all season and has been a weirdly inconsistent free throw shooter for all of his pacers tenure, that’s not a new development
You are incredibly stupid.
Anything to take attention away from SacTown, eh?
Kings aren’t tanking, we’ve just been shit.
Well, the Pacers have been injury-riddled all year.
Just when they started to get on a roll Furphy tore his ACL and they traded 2 rotation guys.
And why isn’t Zubac playing? Even with injuries, they’re deep, and before the trade deadline too, certainly not worse team in the league material.
You don’t know what you’re talking about.
Haliburton, Toppin, Walker, Furphy, Peter — all legitimately out with injuries or illness.
Mathurin and I-Jax got traded less than a week ago.
I don’t know how legitimate Zu’s ankle is… I wasn’t following him in LA.
Two-way contract Quentin Jackson started this game tonight.
17 different players have started games for the Pacers this year, and only 4 players have started in at least half of the games.
11 players have appeared in at least half of the games, and 4 of those 11 are either not on the team anymore or shut down for the year with a torn ACL.
Siakam must have been trying to lose a few playoff games last year too then damn
I guess Rick ain’t such a smart coach… I mean you know Knicks are gonna have to auto foul you as soon as you inbound the ball but he keeps having his players inbound to Siakam who has been bad from the line this season. 0-2 for the last ones.
Guess he’s bad at his job trying to win games or really good at trying to steal tank… especially with that Zu pick trade stipulations. Wonder what’s more likely.
Need the Pacers to win this game to put a bow on it.
Done!
East playoff teams just can’t seem to stop losing to tanking teams.
This is aging well
Back in my day, the tanking teams knew how to tank
Teams not even waiting until March anymore
Imagine what they’d be doing if another LeBron type prospect was available lmao
Tanking in a great top heavy draft probably produces more tanking than sweepstakes for one guy. Even if you don’t get 1 you’re still more than satisfied.
Correct. This is a great draft to tank. You’re getting a really good piece to your team with a top 6 pick.
i don’t think it’s about how much talent the #1 prospect has but rather how deep the 1-6 range is cause wemby is a top 2 prospect in nba history and teams didn’t tank as hard back then as they are now
Wannabe all star tanking job right?
Amazing tank job
why the fuck can i not see videos anymore, i just see a cutout of the reddit homepage
Old reddit? It’s broken atm.
Yeah and they must’ve force-changed defaults back to new reddit because for the first time in years everything went to new reddit until I went and changed the setting in preferences off again.
Surely the Knicks will comfortably handle a tanking team
New to NBA, can someone explain to me why all the teams in the lottery don’t just have the same odds?
Like obviously its not rewarding the worst teams when tanking exists, they are just rewarding the teams who lose more games on purpose.
It used to be like that some years back, but the teams with the worst records almost never got top picks. Ownership didn’t have new incentives for people to buy tickets, among other league politics, and they’ve switched things up semi-regularly since then. For example, it’s only been since 2019 that the bottom-three teams all have equally increased odds of getting the top pick.
I hate the system’s looming incentive for teams to tank, but it bugs me when media guys or people adjacent to the league act positively shocked that it happens.
Like, the ecosystem of the NBA draft lottery dictates any team within spitting distance of top-3 odds who isn’t tanking must not be interested in remaining relevant.
