Though a quick wiki search says it’s unlike the Browns. When Cleveland got an “expansion” team after they lost the last team to Baltimore, they had always theoretically been the Browns.

Charlotte was the Bobcats for like… Ten years? … Before they reclaimed their history. So I’m not sure how that works (were they now the Hornets as well from 2004 - 2014, when the New Orleans Hornets were also active?)

Hot take, I don’t care about the DV issues with Miles. The law has handled it. The case was dropped and since the law didn’t deem it serious enough to prosecute afaik, it’s not my role to play judge, jury, and executioner. As long as he continues to play good basketball, I don’t care. As long as he doesn’t upset the team chemistry and locker room balance, don’t care.

Don’t want a good player traded away for non-basketball reasons. If he breaks the law and is actually convicted, he will be removed from basketball. I don’t watch miles bridges for his morals or for his ability to be a role model. I watch him for his insane dunks. No more, no less.

Edit: I was wrong, the case was not dropped. He was sentenced to probation and completed his time. Still a good basketball player, not a great human being. However, i only watch him for his basketball so I don’t really care.

He was charged with a violation of his probation, that’s what was dropped. He was accused of throwing billiard balls at the woman’s car with her kids in it, but I didn’t follow it enough to have an opinion on the merits of the case. Based on the article you linked it sounds like the woman’s story changed and they dropped the charges. The original DV conviction and probation stands (though that was back in 2022 and it was for three years, so he might be off probation by now.)
