It’s a bit overblown, but it’s true that he refuses to just let things fly, and it’s not from a lack of coaching. Ty Lue would literally bench him when he passed up good shots then put him back in pretty quickly.

Biggest difference is IMO, Ayton rn is getting paid peanuts compred to his run with the Suns. Even his worst days on the Lakers is better than what the Lakers had post AD. Now at this point in the season it also seems that Hayes is also playing a bit better than Ayton but point still stands, he is still getting paid cheap
