Basically, light stretching is ok, but it doesn’t do much. Deep stretching is not ok, as it strains ligaments and tendons without any beneficial impact. In fact, for any athlete that runs and jumps, tendon/ligament flexibility is at odds with with the springiness that you want from them. If you want to be able to run and jump fast, you don’t want flexibility, you want mobility.

Also, for injury prevention, you want mobility and you want to keep muscles loose. You do not want to be straining tendons and ligaments.
