I think it technically counts as his rookie year because he only played in 20 games last year on a two way. That could totally wrong though and Haynes just miss typed, I know baseball has a minimum games played requirement to count as a rookie season but not sure if the nba has the same.

Edit: They don’t Haynes was just wrong.
