35% is league well below league average, and bad for a shooting guard. You can rationalize Luka shooting 35% because he’s the primary creator on the team, responsible for late shot clock threes, and it opens things up for him to get into the lane.

Kennard is “one of the best shooters” if you don’t care about making a lot of threes.

He’s taking 7.4 3PA per 100 possessions this season, which is 133rd out of 259 qualified players.

He’s amazing on wide open threes, but they’re pretty much all spot up threes – which there just aren’t that many opportunities for even in a Luka-led offense. The Lakers are currently 25th in the league in wide open 3PA per game.
