No he definitely is a shell of himself. He has no confidence, no ability to attack off the dribble or create anything…he is just floating around the corners and getting some fast break looks. He looks completely uncomfortable.

No one said anything about Huerter being the main return…they got a first round swap back, a rotation shooter for this season and a pick for someone who wasn’t contributing at all and who they didn’t want to pay makes sense.

Huerter has actually been pretty solid defensively for us, he’s not elite by any means but he’s made quite a few huge defensive plays that have won us games and his defense in general is much better compared to his Kings tenure. His shooting has been down so he’s found ways to impact the game that don’t revolve around that.

Gobert is an elite screen setter, Giannis loves going downhill on out of position defenders. Also works with other guys passing to Giannis when his defender is cheating off him, which is how we’ve used him off-ball for years.

Shooting is not the only way to create space, and Gobert is great at creating space in other ways.
