Yep, Mitchell is not exactly putting fear in opponents the way Luka or Wemby do, which both are options for Giannis, even if it is complicated (Spurs) or time consuming (waiting for contract to run out for Lakers) to make it work.
And with Knicks you have the NY pull to compensate for playing with what would be considered a lower tier superstar in Brunson (still same tier as Mitchell).
Unless there is a gentleman agreement that LBJ is coming on a minimum in offseason, that may make Giannis more interested, but for like couple of seasons and that’s it.

If you trust Giannis to stay healthy I would honestly do it. Mobley is a good enough blue chip they don’t need to trade much more and while they will miss him on like 5-7 years, they instantly become another level better.

Are we comparing one rare winter storm to all of Cleveland’s winters? I’m not even saying Cleveland is worse than Dallas (I don’t live in either). I just know cold winters are a major deal for people.
I guess I’m trying to allude that they’re not different enough in terms of temps versus LA/Miami to Cleveland. Texas gets surprisingly cold pretty frequently nowadays. However, yes, average highs of 50s vs average highs of 30s does feel different.
So, Cleveland does get more snow however I’d take snow over ice every day and I think, given how far south Texas is, it’s more prone to ice than snow when that storm rolls through and the infrastructure to handle it doesn’t exist.
I definitely think the average temperature difference between Dallas and Cleveland is substantial on your average winter day. 20+ degrees at least.

I read about the Harden rumors last night and I couldn’t figure out why either team would go for this and now it’s starting to make sense. They wouldn’t do a Harden trade if nothing else was coming, I suspect. If they do pull that trade off it might be like smoke coming out of the Vatican.

The leaks are that Mitchell won’t resign if they don’t make the conference finals again, which while it’s theoretically possible for them to make it without giannis, it does seem unlikely

I don’t see anything unlikely about Cavs making the conference finals. They’ve been looking extremely good since Christmas (13-5) and that’s with three starters missing time in Garland, Mobley, and Strus. Our role players have really stepped up and we should be a pretty deep team if healthy
