He’s a pretty good defender still, and his level of effort leads to a lot of turnovers and rebounds. Unfortunately he has stone hands, so he’s pretty bad on offense and turns over the ball a lot if the ball is in his hands for too long. On nights we need a boost on defense, he’s pretty useful. For the Lakers, passivity is the right move. There’s nothing that can make this Lakers roster a contender this year. This will be a multi-year process, and if they do eventually construct a championship roster around Luka, LeBron on a max won’t be a part of it.
