He didn’t make the all star game in 2023, when they were the top seed. In fact AG had more all star movement than Jamal that year (he was coming back from injury so started slow)

This is the first year he actually played like an all star in the regular season, but I think the main point is he has shown to be an all star level player. Especially when you take his playoff success into everything.

He never deserved it because the west always had a lot of guards playing at a high level

The worst contract thing is because he is very highly paid and he has missed a fair few games due to injury, as well as playing through the injuries sometimes and not being anywhere as good when he does
