Has nothing to do with anything. The criteria for being an All-Star has not changed. Whether you think somebody was deserving or not has no reliance on who the voters were.

The function of the All-Star game has not changed. The voting system has. But whether somebody is a snub or is deserving does not rely on different criteria now vs then.
If you think none of Jordan/Kobe/LeBron deserved lifetime achievement All-Stars, sure.
but we all know people aren’t consistent on that and specifically want to use it against LeBron.
Lebron is far more deserving on actual production than either of those guys, or Dirk and Wade. He’s one of my favorite players ever, but none of those guys should be taken spots when there are younger, more deserving players available. Particularly when All-Star appearances are tied to contract incentives and qualify you for a 5% higher max contract.

Depends on how you define “better”. Scottie Barnes is a more impactful offensive player than Ingram. While individually Ingram is at 21.9 pts and Scottie is at 19.4, I’d argue that Scottie shooting 50% from the field and averaging 2 more assists per game make him a better player offensively.
Advanced stats go deeper, Scottie’s PER is 19.4 compared to 16.5 for Ingram. 4.8 Win shares for Scottie and 2.7 for Ingram.
Scottie beats Ingram in almost every statistical category except 3pt percentage (including a lower Usage rate).
So yes, Scottie is a better offensive player than Ingram.
