[Uthayakumar] Kon Knueppel was 10-years-old the last time the Hornets went on a 6-game win streak.
I knew they have been historically bad but that bad….
Worst sports franchise to never fold (Kind of, the history gets funky with the New Orleans relocation and the Pelicans)
TBF, the Pelicans giving back that 90s history helps and the Clippers are still arguably worse given their age, granted they did have the Lob City Era. The Cavs also would’ve been contenders if not for LeBron. Maybe our time has come.
The last 15 years of clippers is better than all pro basketball that’s ever been played in Charlotte put together.
ehh we used to be fun and entertaining in the late 80’s and 90’s always was in the top of the league in attendance. at the end of the day both teams have accomplished the exact same levels of success, which is fuck all.
At least the Clippers can claim to have an MVP (2x if I recall) in Bob McAdoo. What is the player that the Pelicans can claim that has the same history and accolades with the franchise?
I can’t deny that. Alonzo Mourning peaked with the Heat and Larry Johnson became a role player after injuries.
McAdoo played across the country for a team with diff name and diff colors, c’mon that doesn’t count. Clippers still beat Charlotte tho.
Ive been watching it the whole time 😎
At least they have good branding
every team in the league has an 8 game win streak since the ps2 was released
including the supersonics
except for charlotte
All it took was getting rid of Michael Jordan

10 year old Kon watching the hornets: “Fine, I’ll do it myself”
Well…..that’s not good🫤
Well… it’s good that it’s happening now lol
I mean it not like he had a choice to be 10 years old. Its just life.
Where they even called the Hornets
Yeah it was 2016 and we went back to the Hornets name in 2014.
Bro still looks 10 now lol

Why are direct bluesky links allowed here? We gonna allow truth social next?
Guess he’s made a real difference…
And he has.
Look, I am NOT saying Kon is better than Steph, let me get that out here right now.
But for the stretch of games this season to begin his career, let’s look at what Kon has done compared to Steph’s career averages.
Kon’s 3 pt % is .429%. Steph’s career 3 pt % is .422%
Kon’s TS% is .644%. Steph’s career TS% is .626%
My point in saying this is that for THIS season so far, the Hornets have a dude shooting the 3 ball and and they had a dude whose TS% is BETTER than Steph Curry’s is for his career.
Yeah, a dude balling out like that would help a team win some games I think…
Now, Kon has to do this for way more than a decade and wrack up lots of hardware to even begin to be discussed in Steph’s class. I wasn’t doing that.
I was simply talking about what Kon has done for his first 40 something games he’s played, what he’s shot so far this season.
Even if he were to fall off after today, that doesn’t erase what he’s done in these games to this point.
Is it a hell of a hot stretch for him? Or can the young man do this year in and year out?
Time will tell, even if he can’t do this year in and year it, he STILL did it for these 40 something games to begin his career and I only used Steph’s career averages as a way to illustrate just how damn good Kon had been to begin his career.
And I know many on this sub don’t like to use stats from eras long ago, like when Steph was a rookie so I’ll use Steph’s offensive rating for THIS season and then look at Kon’s offensive rating for this season too.
Steph’s offensive rating this year is 120. Kon’s is 124 this year.
Kon’s FG% is higher than Steph’s this season too, so is his effective FG% and Kon is even at .900% from the foul line, behind Steph’s .931% this season, but it’s still a great FT% for Kon, for anyone.
Again, I’m not saying Kon is better than Steph y’all.
Just using Steph’s numbers to illustrate how damn good Kon has been this season, so far.
did this mf try to say kon is better than steph wtf
If you read the whole thing he did not really, he literally says I am using Stephs number to just show how good Kon has been as a rookie
