[Highlight] Chris Boucher wanted a bucket in his first game since 11⁄23. Made one at the buzzer to cap a blowout win and Russell Westbrook didn’t like it… at first. Chris explained the situation, Westbrook understood and embraced him. All good!
No man wearing white gloves gonna try and scold me about anything
Surgeon? But these white gloves? Nah lol
Smacks scalpel from surgeon’s hand
O R they?
At 6’4” 200lbs and in really good shape, russ could probably scold you while wearing nothing at all & you wouldn’t be able to really do anything about lol.
Stupid sexy westbrook
go on…
2 replies in and I’m already regretting the comment.
3 comments in and i’m russel westbricked up
We’ve seen him shirtless, he’s 10% bodyfat, 8 pack - I’m not sure where I’m going with this 😂
Not Mike Tyson?!?
Was watching this live and said “CALM DOWN MICHAEL JACKSON!”
The audio wasn’t working for me. About halfway through was like what in the Mikey Mouse is happening.
Maybe Michael Jackson tribute
Hilarious fit to get mad about unwritten rules in
NBA players love their ridiculous outfits
Westbrook is one of the OGs of ridiculous NBA outfits. Put some respect on those white gloves.
Even the outfits a brick lol
That’s actually a very mild outfit for him. He’s worn everything from skirts to overalls to bathrobes to a long white gown on the court.
Hee Hee
Got a lose one first
Hilarious to get mad bout mad bout unwritten rules 😂😂😂
“Oh, shit! It’s about your stats? My bad!” - Mickey Westbrook
Those gloves are one of the decisions of all time.
Hahahaha
Hamburger Helper hands
Literally a hamburger helper promotion right above this comment I can’t make this shit up
The jokes right themselves
Or the machines are always listening/reading.
Hamburger helper helped her hamburger help her
He really should have taken off one of his gloves, gently slapped Boucher with it, and demanded satisfaction.
This thread has me dying
“I challenge you to a duel” ahhh boi. Lol
Sir I say sir I accept your challenge
Free throws at dawn
That’s actually a good example of being an adult. Westbrook realized the situation wasn’t exactly what he thought it was and instead of digging in, he evolved his opinion.
I wish this was the more common takeaway from this thread
Still hilarious tho. Inside The NBA type shit
nah i think its fucking stupid and shouldnt be allowed in this sub and he should feel bad
Being an adult would be stop being soft every time some dude break this stupid rule
Because Westbrook is generally a great guy, and has shown it his entire career.
Beautiful take and the only one that matters. The human shit we need right now. Taking in information, understanding and changing your opinion.
respect
Find out what it means to me.
I find Westbrook such a funny character…hes genuinely funny
It’s funny but not haw haw funny
Funny like a clown
Like he amuses you?
I know the reference, but yeah. Westbrook is actually a clown…but in a good way, not a slander or scary ass Pennywise way. Wholesome clown.
yes, the clown is the millionaire athlete and not the terminally online redditor
You understand I was actually speaking positively of him right?
I feel like there’s no way to call a grown man (who isn’t a working clown) a clown and it NOT be negative lol.
Put it this way: if you ran into Westbrook and gave him what you said as a compliment, how do you think he’d react?
You know there was a time where clowns actually brought happiness into the world right? I also feel like I made it clear that I wasn’t referring to clown as a derogative.
He make you laugh? He here to fucking amuse you?
I find clowns scary actually
Have no idea why in the NBA it’s frowned upon to try in the closing seconds of a blowout and players get upset about it
It’s a mix of respect/sportsmanship and injury prevention.
This happens in every sport where 2 teams are facing each other and the game ending based on time and not some type of score.
Football teams don’t just have the kneel downs at the end of games but also go away from the pass when they are up big to run out the clock.
Soccer/Football teams generally take their foot of the gas when they have a decent lead for the final minutes of regular playing time & the refs will usually decide to give as little additional time as possible.
Even hockey teams go conservative in their play when they have a big lead.
Wasn’t there a Celtic player who got injured doing that
Hockey is probably the worst example of this. One team will go conservative and try to kill time. The other will go 100% if they’re down by 2 goals until the last few seconds.
This shit even happens in 2k
The team blowing out the other one in rec will often lose the 4th quarter much much more often than expected
It’s the same in football. Players and coaches get way pissed off if the other team runs up the score.
I agree. It’s so dumb. Like, if anything yeah laugh at them for actually trying when it’s a blow out and over. But to actually get upset feels like such a try hard “ball knower” thing to do.
Because some of these players are powder puffs
What is it about a white poofy jacket and gloves that says powder puff to you ?
Surprising to see Westbrook in street clothes
What street is that from?
Oxford St
More like Christopher St.
Sesame St
Lmfao
Tribute to AD
Mr.Monopoly lookin ass
Bro hit the old man shuffle at top speed
Brodie is good people
Westbrook is so cool
Westbrook is the fucking man
Those gloves 🧤
Mad love.
Westbrook!!
Them gloves. Sonic the benchhog
Tell em Westbrook. Nobody disrespects the Sacramento kings
Don’t disrespect the pizza parlour
Funny enough the raps could actually use Chris this year. Dude hustles, provides some weak side shot blocking and can sometimes shoot the three.
Plus he’s not a complete puss when shit gets rocky.
No one is taking him seriously in that outfit
Just graduated Mime school
Theatre clothes
I like the respect these players give him. Westbrook is the greatest player to never win a championship!
It’s shit like this that makes me love the nba.
lol I watched this whole game from the kings broadcast and I was trying to figure what happened? They didn’t show this. I was also trying to figure out who the dude in the gloves was 😂.
That’s Jason Bourne
Hall of fame stat padder Russel Westbrook
*Glove Padder
Non ethical
Most sensitive player of all time
That title belongs to Luka dogbitch I’m afraid
Yo, good moment and all, but is it that cold up in Boston right now? What’s up with the Michelin Man with Hamburger Helpers outfit?
It’s prob one of he’s more tame outfits too
23⁄11… ain’t that long ago
Yes I can’t tell is it November 23rd or is it November 2023?? I guess not playing for two months is a pretty long time too
Bonjourrrr
Last guy who ran off on the pack got choked out by some Givenchy gloves. The last thing he ever saw was the price tag on ‘em. Slowly faded into darkness, and I let the archangels take him.
Very wholesome
Lamest “unspoken rule” in sports
When you want to start shit at the game at 7, but need to work at the abattoir by 8.
No sound?
Westbitch
Grow tf up! “Unwritten rule” bunch of grown men acting like this. Pathetic. Next time let them walk up to each other see what they do. Fake tough guys
Gloves indoors isn’t right.
I genuinely adore Westbrook don’t give a fuck he’s my favourite basketball player my house is lined with Westbrook shit I watched him all through his mvp season he makes me want to be a better man fuck you haters 🥰
We really ruin so much shit by broadcasting every moment of the game. I love these moments but I also know they are tainted by the expectations and pressures of televised interactions.
In street clothes watching your team get smacked and still tries to start something?
Clothes looking more like ballroom than street
Was he trying to create a new meme cuz nobody wants to have funny interviews with him anymore so he did this?
Bitch behavior dude you have had so much time I this league and still choose to worry about dumb shit like this. Move on mr. triple double, nobody besmirched your family name with a non game changing jump shot. Russ getting over his ego could have been one of the greatest 6th man ever
Sit your ass down Westbrook
Fuck Bitchbrook
[deleted]
For the sake of argument, he’s a lot more in the league than Chris Boucher..
