the raptors are currently 8th in defensive rating so i feel like it’s warranted for him to be a DPOY candidate when you consider how he’s been forced to guard 1-5 at times due to the lack of centers for them. it’ll be tough for him to beat out gobert and chet tho. on top of that if wemby makes it to 65 games you might as well just hand the award to him

Other than Wemby, is it just me or is very hard to gauge who has been a stand out defensive player?

Chet, Gobert, and Scottie are all elite defenders, but what’s the defensive impact metrics for each of these players that separates themselves from the rest?

The Raptors have had a lot of 2 way stars over the last 10 years or so.

We need to win more and get back to a top 5 defense, as not enough people watch the Raptors still. It’s tough with the team and injuries we have; but hopefully he can get all-defense, at least.
