Doubtful Hartenstein gets moved but I can think of more surprising things that have occurred. One, he hasn’t been healthy much this year, so hard to move him right when he does get healthy. Two, they’re still easily the best team in the League, and they can still fit his salary in their construction and move him in the summer. Three, who would they move him for? Off my head can’t think of much that makes sense – they’d still have to take on money, and it’s hard to find a player as good as him with a more flexible contract than him.

OKC should make a move for giannis, they’ll regret it if they don’t 

The reason they got iHart was for what happened in the 2024 playoffs. There is no way they get rid of him without filling that hole back up. And there really isn’t anyone better on a contract like that.

Maybe a 3 team trade with OKC getting Naji and Gafford from Dallas, a third team getting I Hart and Dallas getting a couple picks?

This makes sense but doesn’t make sense. They COULD give our two way center a regular season contract but due is a “soft” center vs a more physical Hart.

I think IHart is too important to their success to trade. Just don’t see them being able to compete in the playoffs without him.

Might they be looking for another center? Yes; because the rebounding is putrid but trading our best rebounder is a non-starter.

If you read what is actually said its that the Thunder are asking about a potential center (maybe fact) and that he thinks Hart is an interesting name (opinion and a poor one at that).

Hart will not stay with the team after his current contract because they’ll need to cut costs but they’re not making the team worse by trading him early; especially since the mentioned potential replacement is missing the entire year. Sorber was never taking over this year. It just sucks he loses a year of development in the meantime

IHart, along with Caruso, was literally the missing piece for the chip. If he was traded, we’d need something equal or better in return.
