3 wins ago we were gushing about Brandon Miller. After yesterday’s win we were gushing about Diabate. After this one we’re gushing about Kon. All while Ball and Bridges are doing their thing. Man, this Hornets team has depth.
Well, not outside the starting 5. Our bench is really bad. Tre, Josh, Collin are pretty mid. Collin can score but that’s it. Kalk, scion, salune and grant are pretty much the only very dim bright spots, and all of them have glaring problems. Without At least one of our top 4 scorers in we a dead, and even then we usually need two to actually cause any damage

If Mavs won and Flagg got the game winning basket, I’d think the narrative is too strong for Kon
But Kon got the game winning steal and free throws while putting up a historically efficient rookie season of 50/40/90 on absurd 3pt volume as well that you only see for the likes of Curry and Ant.
Plus the Hornets are putting up a better record with Kon as their best player already.
Really 19 and being the youngest to put this up isn’t a strong narrative. There’s a reason he’s the favorite throughout every place u can put money on it. The narrative is way more significant there and as an all around generational talent in comparison
Flagg is nearly putting up 20/5/5 as a 19 year old and he’s a better defender than Kon. Flagg will never be the offensive player Luka is, but can he be a more complete player? I believe he can.
I think co-winners would be good, they both equally deserve it in my opinion.
Seeing a rookie drop 50/40/90 shooting splits is amazing and at the same time i see the case for Cooper pretty much leading the Mavs and how they have a good rookie core with Kyrie and AD probably coming back next year.
