[Highlight] LeBron gets emotional after the Cavs played a tribute video for him
Cavs FO knew what they were doing
If he goes to Cleveland next year they have to be favorite in the East barring injury. They need a small forward and a backup point guard and he fits that mold
Cleveland and “barring injury”? You must be new here
“Barring injury” of their 42 year old who holds the record of most NBA minutes (72,038) played by such a large margin over 2nd place Kareem (66,297) that if Kareem had played two more seasons 70 games each at 41min per game, he’d still be 2nd place LeBron.
The difference between LeBron and 4th place is the same as the difference between 4th place and 55th. The reason I saw 4th is because 2nd snd 3rd are also outliers and doesn’t sound as cool
I dont wanna hear any more bullshit about lebrons load management. Remember how much they used to criticize him and his coaches for playing him so much during the regular season?
He was averaging 40mpg first 10 years, he’s at 37.8mpg for his career. They would say he’s not gonna last long, he’s gonna get hurt. You have to save him.
Kareem could have been drafted while in high school, certainly when he was done, Instead he played four superb years at UCLA. He played 20 years in the NBA in the time of Chuck Taylors, a trainer who could tape ankles, and brutal physicality. Retired at 42. Extrapolate his stats, and add 4 pro years to what he did.
He missed the first couple weeks with sciatica. He is an iron man but he is also getting up there. With Cleveland’s injury luck I wouldn’t hold my breath!
LeBron would be the least of the Cavs injury concerns lol.
Luka literally got injured there minutes ago
Wait, what?
Cavs court is horribly designed and can easily cause injuries
Good work, Agent Floorty-Seven.
Redo the floor before the GOAT gets there.
Luka is ok.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25375030-jj-redick-calls-out-safety-hazard-caused-luka-doncic-injury-during-lakers-vs-cavs
Just the atomically insignificant vibrations sent through the earth from typing that message on your keyboard was enough to injure DG for 2 weeks.
Darius Garland detached his retina reading this.
The Cavs’ training and medical staff is apparently highly regarded but it seems like if one of our players ever gets an injury, they deal with it lingering for 3-4 years.
LeBron will turn 42 next year. He isn’t making anyone “the favorite” these days.
lol agreed. People are so delusional.
If he comes in on a vet min for a retirement tour, he’ll be a boost to any team with that cost to performance ratio. That team will be the Lakers though.
They’re gonna have to trade away Garland/Mitchell or lose all their depth to avoid 2nd apron ramifications.
lol it would just be for a retirement tour and the cavs would make so much money on jersey sales, ticket sales, promotions, tv deals, etc etc etc for a LeBron retirement tour finals run…
It would be worth it for the owners
If LeBron’s only there for a year or two who cares?
Realistically LeBron would have to take a massive pay cut. We’ll see
He’ll probably take the vet min to join them and have the ultimate storybook ending.
Guy is trying to get enough money to own a team, and he’s also still talented enough to cost more than the vet minimum.
Doubt he will ever try to take less than a max contract on whichever teams he plays for.
They will have enough playmaking and ball handling with Bron to be able to start trade DG.
Trade DG for 2⁄3 complementary role players that provide a mix of defense, shooting, inside scoring and athleticism, and start Jalen Tyson alongside Spida.
No. This is not the way. Garland unlocks the Cavs’ offense so much. He’s invaluable. Even with LeBron.
My bad I should have also clarified that a fully healthy version of him would be immensely valuable for them.
But he seems too unreliable in terms of health now, as hs’s either missing games in critical times, or is frequently notably impacted by injuries when playing.
If you believe in his long term health then I agree with you, but I am skeptical of it.
you think adding 42 year old LeBron to the 28-20 Cavs is more impactful than adding post-injury Jayson Tatum to the 29-17 Celtics or the adding post-injury Haliburton and Dybantsa/Peterson to the 11-36 Pacers?
Question , did you copy paste his name to ensure you spelled it right
yes
Why do you guys never consider him not being able to play defense for a playoff series? Somehow basketball fans don’t watch that side of the game. He’s going to be running around screens and closing out on three point shooters for 6 or 7 games?? When’s the last time you’ve seen him do this?
Buttering em up for the return
On a team friendly deal right?
3 year supermax with no trade clause for him and MLE for Bronny. Lol
Yo reunite the band and get Kevin Love on the bench.
Get his other son in there as well, Kyrie “the son figure” Irving. You get the whole band together, plus he’ll be the first father to now play with two sons in the NBA
Step Brothers II
Sorry, supermax for some reason
Wait, did I miss something? Why is he getting a tribute video today? Does he always get one when he goes back to Cleveland?
I know the implication here is that the front office is trying to convince him to go back once his contract is up but you’d think it’s his last season or something if they’re randomly playing a tribute video if they haven’t done so in previous years (outside of his first actual return like 7 or 8 years ago)
You gotta understand, it doesn’t matter that it was 10 years ago, he is our hero. As a Clevelander, 2016 was the most exciting year for us, there was a magic to our city like never before. We will do this for him every time he steps on our court.
Uhh yeah I think everyone understands that. I can’t think of a single player who means more to any basketball or maybe even any sports franchise.
It just seemed a little weird to me because I didn’t remember him getting tribute videos in previous years besides the first time he returned. So part of me was wondering if maybe he announced his retirement and that’s why randomly on year 7 of him returning they played one for him. It sounds like it’s just a yearly thing though so fair enough.
Yep he always gets one, I was at last year’s game and they played a very emotional tribute video.
Yeah. Everytime. To some degree.
They should just play The Block on repeat for 5 minutes.
Don’t forget that Lakers only play in Cleveland once per season. So annually they do a tribute.
If he does retire after this year, tonight would be the last time he plays in Cleveland. I don’t think he will, there’s no way he’s not having a retirement tour, but if he does retire then that’s it.
He… Back?
Lebron’s final season will be in Cleveland. book it.
lebron coaching cleveland in the future
he’s said it himself he’s too much of a perfectionist that he doesn’t think he could coach. but 100% gonna own vegas when they get a team
I also don’t buy that LeBron will be a good coach. He’s way too fucking talented (physically, mentally, BBIQ) to truly understand the struggles of your average NBA non star players which make up 90% of your team roster.
He gonna be like “why do you suck, you’re not even 40 yet”
“I don’t see Ricky Davis out there. Why aren’t you averaging 30?”
“Just split the double, keep your dribble, spin around the help, use your 40 inch vertical and while you’re in the air read the defense if you should dunk it or no look pass to the corner for three.”
“I could do that when I was 16, you have no excuses”
This was basically Magic’s problem when he coached the Lakers. He pretty much couldn’t understand why the players weren’t as good as him and couldn’t do what he and the Showtime Lakers did.
Yup. All time greats rarely make good coaches.
Wasn’t Larry Bird a pretty good coach? I know he was a good GM
2 ECF and 1 finals appearance in his 3 year coaching stint
It would have been longer but he felt disrespected that they matched him up against white coaches.
Wayne Gretzky a good example of that
The best case scenario would be Larry Bird, but I think it would kill LeBron to watch his team when they lose while he’s on the sideline coaching not being able to be out there.
Plus he has too many outside interests that would he’d rather do than coach. Business ventures, podcasts, hell he might even take up more acting.
The more likely case would be Gretzky.
LeBron is the same age now that Bird was when he started coaching the Pacers.
”…so then you sprint by them.”
“Umm, what if they’re faster than I am?”
Break clipboard “THEN QUIT JOGGING OUT THERE! Now then, on defense you’re gonna pick up their 5 and keep him off the block “
“Umm, coach, he’s got like a foot height advantage, and 75 lbs on me.”
“WHY’S IT MATTER YOU’RE STRONGER AIN’T YA?!?! PLANT YOUR FEET AND WHEN HE TURNS AROUND TO SHOOT JUMP UP AND BLOCK IT!!”
The Wayne Gretzky method. Goat on the ice but a terrible coach.
I cant remeber who it was maybe Mike rebero or some one told a story where there was a play and they had a good scoring chance and wayne asked why he didnt hold up and hit the trailer to turn it to an odd man or something like that. He had to go back and watch the tape to know wtf he was even talking about. Wayne was just to smart to coach mortals
Lebron and Brady both being Vegas owners would be pretty cool. Don’t even know what to compare it to.
He back
Fifth ring to go out on top where it all started. Everyone will be rooting for that.
But it’ll be in 2035
If he get another ring, that would be poetic af.
Which will lead to Luka also coming home! 🫡
Too quiet in there. Fans must’ve been priced out tonight
game was sold out
Yes sold out would be the adjective describing how teams treat lakers tickets, and I am not speaking full capacity
Didn’t realize LeBron finally faced reality and shaved his head.
he looks great bald idk what the problem was
ppl always look better bald than balding
Not me tho, I’m sure this is just a bad hair day
Not everyone, if you were born with a weird shaped head, your screwed.
But what if you’re showing your weird shaped head while balding, lesser of two evils
Why do you think he started tearing up?
My stupid theory was always that he wanted to differentiate himself from MJ by not shaving his head.
That’s… how long he’s been covering up his balding.
Lemme reiterate that this theory is stupid
Mfer still wears a durag every night though, must be out of habit lmao
Same
I feel like he’s been gradually buzzing it down thinner these last few years
That’s the way to do it (I’m currently doing it now haha)

Hey stop trying to get Bron’s final szn tour
Lebron is a known Swenson’s fan over Inn n Out
Swensons crushes In and Out
Never had Swensons, I’ve never even heard of it, but I know it clears in and out.
It’s a northeast Ohio local burger chain. A ton around Akron.
Bit premature to be trying to steal him for the 2036 season
It’s honestly the best storyline to close out his playing career, he has nothing else to prove.
And I always hated seeing him in purple and gold, mainly because I hate the Lakers, with all due respect for you of course.
Honest and fair take
I started watching basketball when he was just a rookie, just imagining this guy retire makes my heart aches. Whos crying, I’m not crying 😢
I remember watching his high school games on ESPN. No one has ever lived up to the hype as much as LeBron has.
I started watching in 99 and I pretty much watched this dude grow up with me through the years. An NBA without LeBron will really feel weird
I started watching basketball in 1992 when LeBron was 7 years old, feel like I pretty much watched this guy’s balls drop. An NBA without LeBron will really feel weird.
Pause.
Don’t worry there will still be LeBron Jr.
Same. I started watching when I was 9 when Wade and Bron were drafted. I’m 31 with a wife, 2 kids and a mortgage.
So you’ve watched LeBron from when you had no money to when you had no money?
I’m same age as LeBron and grew up about 10 minutes away. My wife went to high school parties with LeBron a couple times, randomly ended up roommates with one of Savannahs friends in college.
My buddies and I would go watch him when there was nothing going on when we were sophomores/juniors. Obviously all huge Cavs fans
I’m 41 now. I’ve been watching LeBron play basketball for roughly 60% of my life. Over 70% really if just thinking about the years you can remember.
It’s kind of surreal. Like I’m an old guy with a long ass career and kids and all that, but I can barely remember a time in my life when I wasn’t watching LeBron play basketball.
Going to be strange when he hands them up
Yeah, when people say “generational talent “ i think of this man.
I started watching basketball the season he won his first nba, and I’m pushing 30. The guy has a way of making you feel a lot older than you actually are.

Tissues at the ready 😂
That’s the biggest box of tissues I’ve ever seen lol
Brought to you by Smartwater
A whole ass kleenex box 😂🤣
OMG, I just KNOW im going to cry. Make sure you’ve got the tissues!
Take a vet minimum next season and go to the Cavs surely.
Sign and trade for Allen
He is so playing for the Cavs next season.
Who would they have to lose?
No one. Hes a free agent
They can only give the minimum if they don’t shed salary.
honestly if he did take min and had one last superteam run through the weaker eastern conf that would be entertaining.
Damn it’s really almost over. I wish people could chill on the divisiveness, the goat talk, and jokes for a little while and just look at the bigger picture.
I’m so grateful to have watched this man play. Fuck I’m a lucky girl.
Lebron is Cleveland. You can’t deny that
I have a counterpoint
José Ramírez
well, you can also throw Jim Brown’s name there
Le”Clevelandddddd, this is for you”

Jeanie was a lucky gal
Do dude just stick their tongue out and make weird faces to stop from crying or something
We still love you GOAT
That St. Vincent-St. Mary mention got him
Yeah. I bet. Even in his wildest dreams at 15 or 16 years old wouldn’t depict a career trajectory like this. Yet, this is his reality.
Been the same hype guy (Ahmad) doing the “Frrrrrom st Vincent st Mary, in Akron Ohio… Number 23!!!! Lebrrrrrooooonnnnnnnn Jaaaammmmesss” the whole time too
They should’ve had 2 championships.
Never forget: Kevin Durant is a bitch
Also fuck Kelly Olynyk forever
2015 was theirs even without Love.
They almost had Game 1 before Kyrie went down
2018 bron kills literally anyone else in 6 games, at most, with that same exact cavs roster too. unfortunate they had to run into that warriors team
Lebron to the Jazz, confirmed.
As is tradition. We will pass him to Cleveland for a hypothetical solid pick sometime in the next decade.
LeDusty in here
Bron farewell tour in Cleveland is just too obvious.
I say this as a Lakers fan and I do like LeBron. He’s retiring in Cleveland
either hes retiring or hes thinking on it
What’s the occasion for tribute video? Hes been back tons of times as a Laker I’m sure.
It’s one of our classic nights so we did a throwback video to a game from that era, why not make it an all time Bron game?
could be his final time in Cleveland if he retires at the end of this season
I guess lol
I think we all understand that he’s going to do a farewell tour but smart play by Cavs nonetheless.
We always welcome him back
Yall play a tribute video every time he’s back in town? Genuinely asking.
Not to that extent but they’ll do an acknowledgment of him being back
I looked for a little bit and found part of one from 3 years ago
Nice. Yall have come a long way from pissing on urinal cakes with his face on it.
Yeah we got it over it especially after 2016
I mean dog it’s been 11 years since he came back. The second he re joined obv all that was over.
15 years is a long time from burning jerseys.
He gets a tribute video every time he comes back. Kevin Love too. I’m probably missing some people too.
I love LeBron. I’m genuinely glad I’ve got to see his career.
Bringing a championship to that city means everything to those ppl. He’s a god to them
I’m 38 years old. I can think of very few things that were hyped as going to be the greatest and actually were. Off the top of my head there’s the Internet and LeBron James.
LeAttention
LeEmotions
He showed everyone a side of himself that we wanted to see but also never wanted to see… the top of his head!
Damn he knows the ride is almost over.
Bruh got the camera focused on him whiles he’s tearing up lmao
Cameraman dont give a fuck
His run as a Cav this last go around was pretty legendary. Some of those games in the playoffs he just went completely to another level and spent very little time if not any on the bench
Still a mid actor 🤣
He rubbed his eyes in his jersey for 15 sec then immediately grabs a tissue to rub his eyes again ☠️
Still on page one of that book
Not a thought must go up there in that dome of yours.
I love Bron but come one…that seemed so phony lol
I was getting “CMON TEARS FUCKING COME TO MY EYES” vibes that entire clip. After the double eye-wipe that only confirmed it. Incredible basketball player but his knack for playing up shit when cameras are in his face makes him come off as so goddamn phony.
I was downtown for game 7. The game wasnt even in cleveland. The watch party was full. The outdoor screen was full. Every bar was full. I walked from E4th to Irish Town Bend and high fived every single person I saw.
LeActor
It’s crazy to think that there are 14 year old Cavs fans in the Arena that don’t remember
the 2016 Championship.
LeFake tears
Probably a rare moment when LeBron just gets to sit back and really see how far he has come. Just a kid from Akron in that moment.
Le_motional
Dude is making faces to fight back tears i respect it
What is he doing with his face
LeSuppress emotions and flex face to prevent tears
It was not successful lol
So weird to me he’s been at the lakers 8 seasons, double his time in Miami but I would have said 2 or 3 max
I wish people would put away their phones and live in the moment. How much cooler to see fans behind him cheering and showing support
I really hope he plays one final season with them, man.
“Cleveland this is for you !!!!!”
Lebron James, 2016
“Oh man. It’s everything”
Is he officially bald??
Is Bron ever authentic?
I think it finally just hit me that he’s really getting old for the league. Damn. Won’t be the same when he’s gone. Idk this clip just hit different he looks like a vet 🥲
He gave them so much.
