[Charania] The Milwaukee Bucks have received trade offers for Giannis Antetokounmpo that include former All-Star players and draft picks.
Former All-Stars? In plural? That’s Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, and D’Angelo Russell music.
Shit throw D’Angelo Russell in there. Who’s beating 3 former all-stars??
Derozan, Westbrook, Sabonis, Lavine says hi
fuck I guess you can always count on the kings to have the most washed up players
I mean…. I wouldn’t say those guys are washed just yet
I would
well alright then lol
Most of the time it’s 100% of the time
Giannis would retire.
“If we can’t have him, NO ONE CAN”
-Vivek probably
Still worth it just to get Lavine yeeted off the team
Getting them all off the book might be worth it
Yeah, forgot him… that’s a crazy offer
People forget about Frank…I mean d’lo
Butler, Draymond, Horford is also 3 former all stars.
Herro, Wiggins, Rozier 😤
It didn’t say former people with clean criminal backgrounds.
We don’t have picks though lol. So it’s someone else.
How is that even possible? Surely you got some back in your moves last year
Sit on down, children. I’ve got quite a tale for ya, one rarely told round these parts, bout a no good two-faced yella-bellied scoundrel with a ire toward sweet tea and a handsome city slicker who knew just when to answer the phone
“defense wins championships!!” *claps excitedly*
We…. We told the Lakers to keep their picks and Reaves on the cheap contract.
You know. The more I think of it. There was some funny business going on there. Almost like Nico was trying to help the Lakers keep assets to flip, while giving them a cheaper, younger superstar.
It should probably just cost 1 aging All Star (potentially injury prone), a role player, and 1 pick. From what I hear that’s the going rate for a superstar nowadays.
Also Wiggins
That offer?
KAT and the Top 8 protected Wizards 2026 first that conveys to 2 seconds if it doesn’t convey
Hot damn, Peralta! They should take it!
Bing…pot
VINDICATIOONNNNNN!!!!!
Please make me defile this church..
Bro if Knicks get Giannis, nosebleeds are going to cost $800 at the garden.
idgaf. I already can’t afford tickets. Get me a banner in that building that doesn’t relate to Billy Joel
We got an NBA Cup banner somewhere.
I’m pretty sure your front office used it to wipe their ass because it wasn’t a “real” champsionship
Josh Hart knows where he put it
They already do lol
there are literally 20x more millionaires in the city than the garden’s capacity. giannis doesn’t move the needle on those prices, if the knicks are good the garden sells the fuck out.
“I pants-ed Karl Anthony Towns at a bodega once…”
We already traded peralta to new york though.
Kangz: Westbrook and 3 seconds.
Hell we will throw in a second former all-star in Lavine for free!
As if the Kings aren’t delusional enough to throw in a bunch of unprotected 1st rounders
Nah we’ll use our other 2026 pick and Leon will call Silver and bully him into making it is valuable as one LA traded for Luka.
This is definitely jimmy butler and picks warriors have been thirsting over giannis for years now
Can he set screens? :D
Can he? Yes. Will he? No. That is one of the biggest reasons the pairing with Dame didn’t work out.
It’s really crazy how few star players in he league set high quality screens.
Jokic and Embiid are big and wide enough that they can just stand there… but they stand there really well and get guys wide open.
Most guys set a “screen” by just getting into position for half a second and then immediately rolling before actually feeling contact and displacing the defender
Feels like only random scrappy bench guys really set the gritty screens anymore
Everyone talks about Steph’s off ball game and gravity but one of his best skillsets is his ability and willingness to set screens
This is what made Tim Duncan special. He was a superstar level talent who was willing to be scrappy.
Tim duncan was superb at the pick and roll. Back when bigs had middies and post in their bags
Random bench guys …And Steven Adams…
He doesn’t just stand there really well, I firmly believe he roots in like a shrubbery
Damn maybe I’m an old head cause I hate the way players do that on screens now. Seems like if it doesn’t benefit scoring they won’t see solid screens. It’s always slipping it or a half ass bump to pop out for a 3.
Too much ego to set a hard screen
This article was actually interesting….https://mikeprada.substack.com/p/the-interrupted-zone
It seems Giannis was a willing screen setter of Middleton. Now what changed? Did he not trust Dame? Did his long time as a teammate of Middleton make him a willing screener. Did winning the title change Giannis to where he won’t set anymore?
If it’s a trust thing, would he trust Curry enough to set those screens (he absolutely should).
The screens Dame likes/needs aren’t really the right kind that he needs either. It’s unfortunate that pairing didn’t work because it should on paper.
Injuries also derailed them.
Slip screens
There’s draymond for the illegal screens. They don’t need them from giannis too.
Butler tragically is not worth a warm piece of bread between the injuy and contract
Warriors 2030+ picks are insanely valuable
This team is gutter bound from then on
Those Warriors picks aren’t going to be any good with Giannis on the team.
how old do you think giannis is?
He’s turning 32kounmpo this year
not sure Giannis would stay past Steph’s retirement. if he came here i’d assume they’d lineup his next contract with Steph & Dray’s to give him free agency
I agree. He would only be here for 2-3 seasons and then he’s either a free agent or the Warriors deal him for picks again.
Giannis is going to be 32 next year already and he already can’t carry an Eastern Conference team to the playoffs. I think you have to do the trade to try to salvage Steph’s last year, but I would not be surprised at all if the Warriors are only marginally better than they were with Butler in place of Giannis if a Butler + picks + swaps was the actual deal that happened.
This is the worst team he’s ever played on and to say he can’t carry a team to the playoffs is very misleading. Their second best player is Myles turner? Kuzma? Ryan Rollins?
Plus they have the dame dead cap?
The Warriors have one of the dumbest owners in the league who likes to interfere with front office decisions. That roster after Steph and Jimmy is going to be gone is going to make this Bucks team look like the Globetrotters.
Lmao what?
Of course you do that trade and no you wouldn’t just be marginally better. You’d be substantially better and it’s very clear that Dubs fans are insanely underrating Giannis and his value.
Your argument is “Those picks COULD be super valuable assuming everything blows up for GSW.” Realistically, Giannis will decline but a team trying to win and stay relevant tends to be able to do that sufficiently because bad teams openly look to lose. The second you don’t have control over your picks, you’ll continue to take on competitive players until you get pick control back.
giannis would immediately become the best player on the warriors and he’d have stephen curry as his number 2. youre out of your mind if you think the team only gets marginally better
Yeah this is gonna be worse than the Bulls post Michael
He’s a salary that can be moved for other salary. That helps a team like the bucks tank. Then the bucks can rehab him and either re-sign him or sign and trade him using his bird rights.
OKC can do something really evil and counter any Warriors offer with an actual All-Star JDUB and picks and Thanos the entire league to get back at the Warriors for 2017 lol.
I don’t really think Shai + Giannis is that good a fit. Suppose they could just win off of talent alone though.
That would fuck the Thunder more than it would fuck us
in that case Thunder need to make the call
I think it’s more likely to be Kuminga, Moody, and Draymond to a third team for a first or swap to the Bucks along with every unprotected first and pick swap available.
I think given the injury, it’s going to be the Draymond package to be competitive enough and the Warriors just shelve Butler until next year and hope Steph/Giannis is good enough this year and then go for the Big 3 next year.
I agree, Jimmy is too much of a plus player for the rest of the roster to let him go. Steph and Giannis are contenders together. With Jimmy they have a huge advantage. Most likely Draymond is gone if they do end up getting him.
Pelicans offered us DeAndre Jordan and we said no??
He said all-star not All-NBA first team, return can’t be that good
Trae Young really destroyed the trade market I guess
What about TT, Shump, and the nets pick?
Today I learned Deandre Jordan is on the pelicans.
Draymond Green and a 2nd, take it or leave it
Bucks would be stupid to take former all-stars
I’ll be surprised if you get a current all star in the deal. Most people trading for Giannis want to pair him with their current All star.
Herro was an All-Star last year and I don’t see a world where Miami doesn’t ship him out in favor of Bam.
Really? I thought Bam was having one his worst down years this year.
Plus I think Herro + Giannis might be better than Bam + Giannis?
Bam is having one of his worst offensive years (tho he’s turning it around, got Eastern player of the week recently) but is still overall having positive impact
Herro hasn’t been able to play all season
He broke out of his slump. Probably one of the worst slumps of his career, but he’s back on track offensively and rebounding. His defense dipped a bit, but I think it was mostly injury related.
He has been great 7 out of the last 8 games
I think this is where CLE has some pull. They ca throw Mobley out there a true blue chipper return
Cleveland cannot make a deal work.
They have to drop below the second apron before they can trade for him.
Cavs cannot collate salary in a deal like this. They need to trade a player with a salary as big if not bigger than giannis’s salary.
But what if they add Pro-Bowler Shedeur Sanders to their offer?
He is technically a former all star, but I wouldn’t call him a blue chipper.
yes he is lol I understand he hasn’t taken that offensive leap but he still has a dpoy

There’s some logic in taking back guys that can keep the ship afloat since y’all won’t benefit from losing after this season, but that shouldn’t be at the cost of picks/young prospects. An all-star focused package would be the worst possible outcome for you
Nah that’s sunk cost fallacy. They are heavily incentivized to tank this year because of how bad the pelicans are. They need young talent they can develop, not former all stars with a short timeline that will hamstring their cap situation. Tear it down, take on bad contracts in exchange for future picks to replace the ones they’ve lost, and build for the future.
When I say keep the ship afloat, I don’t mean “let’s get to the playoffs”. I mean “let’s have some vets that can provide a good environment for the other young players/picks to develop”. I’m not even sure if it’s the right path forward, but there is some logic to getting a better environment for your young guys to develop at the expense of some bites at the apple, especially since you won’t benefit from a bad environment with better draft picks
Yea that’s a reasonable point, but I think those “leadership vets” can be found at a nearly vet minimum contract price instead of paying allstars who are just a bit past their prime and still commanding sizeable contracts and also requiring trade assets to acquire them that could have been better spent on acquiring more young talent! I’m not trying to be antagonistic, I think you are making a great point!
Nico where you at
Don’t they basically need to in order to make the money work?
Al Horford and a 2031 second for Giannis here we go
Dammit why didn’t we think of this!!
Solution:
Trade 2nd Rounder for Westbrook
Offer “Former MVP” and draft picks for Giannis
THIS MAN IS A GENIUS, GET HIM ON THE PHONE WITH SACTOWN
Fabrizio?
My Dominican Gator hero
With how much Giannis has the trade market in a chokehold, imagine what literally every other team would have done for Luka last year
Obligatory “Fuck Nico”
It’s so funny. He could’ve had Giannis lolololol
Yeah, but nobody is offering anything of value for Giannis. And, frankly, I’m not sure they should be. He’s injury-prone and in his 30s now. Not a great track record of bigs aging gracefully.
Uhh what? Warriors will offer at least 3 firsts, prob 4. Is that nothing of value?
Giannis will average 30/12/6 if he’s made the primary scorer. He’s very ball dominant and can’t shoot so you can’t just plug and play on any roster.
I mean he’s one of the best players in the history of the game still in his prime years
He is also 31, with a concerning injury history, with not a lot left on his contract. I think teams would be stupid to give up their entire pool of assets for him, especially after seeing how these trades turn out historically
Warriors need to do whatever it takes to make the most of Steph’s remaining years.
Go all in one last time.
If going all in gets you Giannis, you try to sell all picks in the near future and see if the Bucks hit the accept button. If that gets you 4-5 years of Giannis, you should be able to build your future picks back up, and that would allow you to build around Giannis, health permitting.
Agree. Problem is heath for the old heads. Regardless, trading for Giannis is the best move they could make right now with what they have. It’s worth risking it just to have a chance again.
It’s a matter of present value vs future. Because if it fizzles the next year or two it’s going to bite the Warriors hard when those picks come to roost. I wonder if the Warriors are willing to risk that. But after a decade of being amazing, I would say the fanbase would be willing to weather some dark years for another shot at seeing Steph compete for a championship
I assume you just liquefy Draymond for his proteins
Yea the Bucks are gonna love Kuminga, Draymond and 4 FRPs lol
You think they will get much more than that? 4 FRPs is a pretty good haul
Yes, they’ll get basically a maximum number of picks + actually good, interesting young players.
Anyone who thinks the Warriors have some super competitive offer are kidding themselves. The Bucks aren’t looking to just wait and pray some other team sucks in 4-6 years. They’ll want young talent that they can actually develop, similar to what OKC did with SGA.
I was more so thinking about other teams with a warchest of assets, but yeah I guess if we are living in a reality where you can get him for Jimmy and 3-4 picks, sure that’s worth it, that’s not even a warchest really
If the Warriors’ offer is the best, then I don’t think it’s very likely the Bucks trade him yet. Warriors assets are pretty shit, unless the Bucks really like Kuminga which is unlikely.
Eh his injury history is not that concerning. The guy’s never had a major ACL or Achilles tear to my knowledge.
I think this is a rare opportunity to add an MVP level player. Aside from Nico’s stupidity these guys are almost never available. Giannis can literally win you a championship.
Yeah would not be surprised if his injuries clear up once he’s trades, even if they’re real he’s scoring the highest % of a team’s points in the league while being the only one trying half the time on defense. The man needs some help.
Concerning injury history? He’s played more than 60 games in every single season he’s played. He’s 31 and he’s still a top 5 player in the world. I understand trepidation and worrying about giving up a young core, but you’re acting as though any of these other big time trades involved a player of giannias’ caliber.
Plus it’s not like these deals have always failed. AD to the lakers, Kawhi to the raptors, KG to the celtics. It didn’t work with dame or KD but that doesn’t mean there isn’t precedent for it to work either.
Curious to see if any team is stupid enough to not have learned from previous big trades and gut their core for Giannis.
Injury prone atp
I agree but everyone’s acting like it’s crazy to say that lol
He’s had 6 calf injuries in the last year and a half alone
That’s Kevin Love and the 2027 Lakers’ first round pick theme song
Might as well beef the offer up with this years pick too since it wont convey if we get Giannis. Would make more sense as an off season move if he was still available. But why not, either way lets move the chips in and go all in with Giannis, Key, Lauri, Kessler. I’m down
Former all star lmao
That was my reaction 😅 as a spurs fan
Tyler Herro, better relearn Wisconsin-ese
Watching his accent gradually change is going to be something. Like hearing Eminem talk in 2026 vs 1999.
“former All-Star players”
Lol which team is trying to drive down the price for Giannis? Because that’s the team that’s behind these recent “reports.” Specifying that the offers have been for former All-Star players is such an unnecessary own-goal of an “intel” leak that it could only be coming from an interested party outside of the Bucks. 😭
Former All-Star players? Andrew Wiggins, D’Angelo Russell, and Julius Randle
Westbrook/Lavine/Derozan, that’s three all stars.
One was an MVP my god how can they pass
Jimmy and our picks 😭
Throw in Horford
Warriors probably
Manifesting
Ugh… please keep him out of the West… it’s stacked enough already.
Trade him to the Heat or the Knicks or Raptors or something
Who needs a washed-up former all-star and picks when you can have a shiny, low-miles Jonathan Kuminga with picks?! I’ll throw in a free tank of gas!
Kuminga + Butler for Turner + Giannis
and…..every possible pick and swap
Hard-hitting Shams bomb
Bronny and a tunafish sandwich for giannis for “basketball related reasons”
Plz Cavs. Give em Jarrett Allen and Hunter and the next three firsts and let’s go win this shit
Bron in Milwaukee? :O
He has a no trade clause and why would the Bucks want someone who’s not going to be in the league too much longer and only has this year left on his deal. The only guy they’d get from the Lakers would be Reaves
Reaves would unironically be a good get. They need a primary creator and AR has been phenomenal as a first option this year, pairs with Turner well as a pick and pop big man. There’s gonna be 40 million of salary that needs to be matched which kills it
Bron wont accept a trade there
It’s clearly the blazers trading the picks they got for Dame + Jrue (who is a former all-star)
Those picks are huge if they trade him, cause they will be tanking hard.
I guess LeBron returning to Cleveland didn’t move the needle. Got to break out the old trust Giannis is getting traded. But where and when for what we don’t know.
LBJ and Ayton for Giannis
I’m kinda curious if any teams start calling about Turner or Portis as well. Lots of teams would probably love another shooting big, and its not like the Bucks will need them now.
Yeah Turner would fit on many teams, Portis I’m not so sure of. This is such a shit situation for you guys tho, but I suppose you’ve prepared yourselves over the years and years of bullshit rumors.
The idea of Turner, not Turner himself…
The Bucks surrounded their young superstar with a bunch of older vets, then squeezed the last prime years out of those vets and won a title along the way. When those vets became washed, there was no Nico Harrison or Billy King around to bail them out by trading a young asset for old ones.
It’s hard to say “Oh their strategy was bad” when they won a title, but this was the predictable downside of the strategy and it was visible while they were doing it.
Former all star is a very wide range of player lol. Paul George to Jayson Tatum to Andrew Wiggins to Klay Thompson
Lebron is a former All Star in his own right…Luka-Giannis 2k26
Wouldn’t Bucks be more happy with young prospects rather than former all stars?
former All Star draymond green
Whose a former all-star that makes sense?
Wiggins is the “former All-Star” that wouldn’t be named.
2025 All-Star and hometown Herro, Tyler.
I think he’d be considered a “reigning” All Star, unless he’s not one this year
Tyler Herro and Wiggins 💯
Wow what a statement
Trailblazers should REALLY get in on this. Got a chance to do something epic.
Pair Dame and Giannis up again lmao
Shams is so bad dude.. smh
Draymond, Jimmy Butler, Kuminga, 2 seconds for Giannis and Myles Turner. Who says no?
Send Steph the help he deserves!!
Mavericks probably offered AD and a 1st round pick thinking it’s a good offer
KAT and a 2nd
What about copy machines?
I wonder if they can get a package that the nets got for KD.
Andrew Wiggins huh?
Not going to happen but a thought- if the Bucks wind up getting Lillard back would they be paying him both his current and his bought out contracts?
Damn, former draft picks too? Who says no?
whats the bet giannis ends up staying
Former all stars, that could be a lot of players.
He’s going to the Knicks
Magic Johnson, James Worthy and the return of Kareem + all the seconds? That’s like 40 former all-stars… wtf does that even means Shams
We need former all stars like we need a hole in the head. We need picks, picks, and more picks.
Duh.
Lol technically the heat package does include former all-star Tyler Herro
Jerami Grant, Sharon Sharpe, and their picks back
Giannis to the Lakers….would be amazing but I know it’s not happening
He’s gonna end up on the warriors, I know it’s not feasible but Steph ain’t going out like this
Dadiet, yabu And one second should do it
