No it doesnt, the entire team being good at defense makes it easier to defend man. Wemby has to anchor the entire spurs defense and they exploit it by sending a man to the weak side when guards blown by every possession. We gonna see.
Wemby has some solids perimeter guys. Castle isn’t a bad defender imo. Kornets a good backup.
I would argue having the best Rim Pro (at forcing misses) enables OKC’s perimeter guys to be uber aggressive leading to some steals etc.
Defense isn’t a one man thing for the most part.
Castle isnt a bad defender on ball but their off ball defense to stop cuts its atrocious.
I feel like Lu and Shai are pretty weak in that regard.
