I think in general, you are better off assessing politics based on actual political decisions, elections, polling, because what you see online is such a distorted view of reality. Most people, when asked about their Trump vote, were not like “I want a genocide”, they were like “I’m worse off than I was 4 years ago”. And they are still culpable, but it’s a distortion to say that people wanted everything Trump wants when they voted for him, all it means is they wanted him more than Kamala Harris after a totally botched campaign and major stagflation w/ a Democrat incumbent.

Let’s all just remember that the repercussions he is visibly afraid of aren’t losing endorsements, or getting a smaller contract, or hell even getting traded. He is scared for his life. A world-famous professional athlete is legitimately scared that he will be murdered by a government agency for speaking out against injustice. What the fuck are we even doing any more.

Great response by Wemby. I really wish athletes would do more though. Very few of us have the ability to make an impact like they do. I would love to see them see hey, we’re not taking the court until this shit is over. If the recent murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti weren’t enough I don’t know what would be. We need help, and we need help from the ones who can make the most impact.
