It’s the games played. The main thing is scoring points and age. Minutes don’t matter as we can see players are scoring more now even if they play less minutes. Don’t need to get into all those factors as they’ve been laid out already plenty of times.

Luka had the start to a career you need to beat lebrons record. Start at 20 pts and make a huge jump your sophomore year - hold steady. Best shooter - Rui. FG% and eye test. Even awhile back in a Suns game where he got one attempt, people were pointing out how little sense that made. Especially with Luka having like 25 attempts and 10 turnovers
Best facilitator - Either Bron or AR. Hard to tell with AR being out so long but they consistently get themselves AND the team touches with good looks. Bron and the bench unit have gone on several big runs that stopped when Luka checked back in. Rui, Ayton, the coaching staff, and Nash all publicly said Luka needs to get the team involved too. I don’t count 20 seconds of dribbling with a late pass if he gets in trouble, and neither do they.
Best defender - Smart, followed by Vando. I already know Smart’s stats should prove it because he passes the eye test every single night. There’s a reason why people quickly shut up about calling him old and washed.
Best energy - LaRavia. Nobody on the entire team hustles for contested rebounds more, though Vando’s close. Stats would make you think Luka or Bron are better rebounders, but a lot of theirs are uncontested and Luka’s good for snatching a rebound that was already going to a teammate uncontested.
Best overall - LeBron. Usually gets an efficient 20+ a night, gels with anyone who’s on the floor with him, and is still a great defender when he tries. His problem is not trying much defensively until late 3rd and the 4th because of age, though that’s no excuse in the context of best player. Still, after watching a mid-20s Luka barely try for entire games, I’d rather take Bron’s defensive effort for 30-40% of a game than Luka’s for 5% of a game.
