I have to say this last murder two days ago of Alex Pretti really enraged a lot more people that sadly went about their lives when the other ICE murders occurred, even Renee Good’s murder.
Hell, even the shitty ass NRA and Gregg Abbott were saying “you went too far this time.”
When those two are saying “whoa take it easy” you’ve REALLY fucked up.
It’s the imagery of the shooting that is different. I’m not saying the other one wasn’t horrific but it was visually different.
There is something very visceral about the imagine of someone on the ground getting shot from behind and then the agent continuing to unload the clip.
While Renee wasn’t visible the same way giving people who WANT to excuse it the mental leeway to allow themselves to make excuses regardless of how wrong they are.
Alex was also just trying to help out a woman that got pushed to the ground moments before (as nonviolent and caring as one could be) and then he was shot a ton of times like he was a rabid zombie trying to eat someone’s head off.
Alex was the best of us and he was killed by the worst of us.
Yeah the full clip is visually awful, even though it will get edited/clipped to spin by the right leaning networks. None of the clip looks good for ice is the biggest thing.

They unloaded a clip on him and multiple agents fired shots this time. They’ve clearly been emboldened by the administration to escalate further.

The only good part of their entire statement is that they said that we should wait for an investigation before saying stuff about Alex Pretti, which is still a bad look. The cameraman could’ve just pointed the camera away from that position entirely if it was a problem.
He didn’t see the sign, was caught off guard in a tense situation by random signs being revealed, jerked it away a little, realized the signs were fine, and held position. There’s nothing to get mad at here.

Turns out one of the mods was a massive Trump supporter. People kept reposting the video and every single time it got posted it was removed. Several people were banned. Even comments in the game thread saying “why are those posts gone” were getting removed.
Eventually, other mods stepped in and removed that mod and unbanned everybody, and allowed the video to be posted
