Pretty cool to see him get an all-defense nod last season because he didn’t have much buzz entering the year and then just kinda played crazy lockdown defense on 1-4 from the opener until the end of the season. For a small market team that missed the playoffs entirely, you don’t necessarily expect justice to prevail. Now he has the reputation as an elite stopper.

My god Queta screens like he’s an offensive lineman blocking. Can barely believe they only called him for 1 foul on them

Celtics have such a good team. The level of shooting, the overall positional size, and their gritty play was really good. I wish Deni had played; blazers just don’t have enough shot-making without him.

Edit: last thought. Blazer’s use of the challenge was so dumb. Both teams were getting 1 more shot to end the quarter, why challenge the out of bounds? The upside was nearly non-existent, and the downside was having no challenges. There were a few challenge-able calls down the stretch, but the coaching staff shot itself in the foot.

I was very impressed with Queta this game (outside the illegal screens). His shots blocked, rebounding/blocking out, and his operating as a screener with the ball up top were all really good.

He’s really shown out this year. I thought he had a good run in the early part of last year when Porzingis was out - he was ahead of Kornet in the rotation at that point - but then Luke just ended up outplaying him

Blazers don’t have enough shot-making in general. Deni is a great player, but still just a medium good shooter. If the team isn’t looking at guys like Bridges and Murphy in trades then they at least have to be thinking about finding more shooting in the draft or FA. A Klay Thompson archetype would do wonders for them. I think they even have enough good defending to carry a shooter who can’t guard anyone. Lillard may be that guy next season I guess.
