They also prevent the government from any meaningful budgetary changes, which means they are closing in on collapsing on their own economy, in which case their pensioners will move from the highest paid in the world, to some of the lowest.

Wealth inequality in the USA is increasing a lot faster than in France.

I love the French for many reasons, and lived there for about a year when I was younger. I’m also very disappointed in many of their policies and approaches, including on immigration enforcement.

Too many Americans view them as some mystical protesting country, that all the Left (which I am on most topics) ideals have come to fruition in France, and we can do the same in America, if only we break enough stuff. When that’s just not true.

Genuinely. A lot of dumb fans don’t care or are the type that say “I don’t do politics” but if their favorite stars started getting deported, not only would the leagues lose their shit, so would the fans.
