OKC had two players who made all-defence last season not named Chet and have AC and Wallace who are both guys who could have made it.

The Raptors have a starting five of either below average or average defenders other than Barnes and haven’t had a five for over half of the season yet they are still top 4 in DRTG.

Rudy won because he led a historic defense. Not because he carried bums defensively a year before. Rudy is Rudy because his rim protection and deterrent numbers are off the charts. So are Chet’s or Wemby’s or whoever (and they’ve been elite for years). You can’t just say “everyone is good on that team therefore no one is DPOY level”, thats nonsensical. If Rudy or Scottie were on OKC, OKC would still be elite if they had gotten hurt.
