Sounds like they’re both doing their jobs tbh. Nobody is expecting bold statements from an owner. They’re selling to both sides.
If your “job” in society is to pander to the rich and powerful while they destroy people’s lives, maybe that role needs to change.
I don’t expect much from big business owners because big business owners are part of the problem. But that’s an indictment of them for being cogs in the machine.
“Selling to both sides” is not worthy of praise. The careerism of “just doing your job” can very quickly become “just following orders.” And we know where that leads.

I watched a woman get shoved by a small man pretending to be a police officer.
I watched another man turn toward mercy - toward actually loving a neighbor and not merely pontificating about it - and I watched agents pepper spray him for doing so as if they’ve become allergic to everything lovely and good.
They murdered our neighbor Alex - an ICU nurse who cared for people, and before that film could even finish loading, they had already dusted off their nazi costumes and rehearsed their scripted lies for the cameras.
The agents again escalated, because bravery requires a spine and violence is what’s left when one never grew.
And so in the words of Mayor Jacob Frey, addressed to both #ICE and every coward in power who blesses this brutality, especially those who do it in the name of justice while standing on the bones of truth:

But I’ve also spoken to multiple family members who have admitted that they didn’t pay close enough attention and acknowledged their mistake. It can be seen e.g. in Gallup polls where “Economy” as primary issue facing the US dropped below 10% around 2020 (it was achieved before pandemic), lowest value in XXI c.

That’s the problem of American system (tbc: I’m not from the US). You have to chose between 1 of 2 people. And in such situation many people go with: “What’s my biggest problem [e.g. economy]?” and “Who will be better in solving it?”: A) Guy during whose presidency it was solved b) Gal who was VP when it become an issue.
It sucks. It shouldn’t be like this. And people that voted for Trump in primaries (that traditionally worked as gatekeeping) don’t got that leniency I said about. But during elections? Sadly that’s how it works.
Except your point is not true at all. The economic issues are more closely related to coorportate favoritism as a result financial influence in politics. The economy has been only good for a small percentage of high income earners, it has been that way for a long time, it was just exasperated by Covid and taken to a new extreme (which by the way happened under Trump’s presidency).
The bigger issue that occured during the 2024 election is that America remains a deeply racist and misogynistic country in the most vital swing states, and we had big billionare donors like Elon and the media pushing a forced narrative about Biden and Kamala, because they knew it would mean they can continue to control the decision making.
The two biggest issues are:

Anecdotally but athletes seem to be disproportionately religious compared to the general population. Having some sort of religious figure they can go to in-house for stuff is probably smart.

Undocumented immigrants commit less crime per capita than legal citizens.
