[Highlight] Rui Hachimura with a big clutch 3 to give the Lakers the lead (with replays)!
So good having Rui back with us!
Rui’s automatic, such a good shooter.
See what happens whenever you bench Ayton lol
Vincent too lol
NGL I thought Lakers were cooked after giving up the lead, good to see some heart for once
Still their most reliable catch n shoot guy.
Tbh their only reliable catch and shoot guy with AR out
Yea.
Look at the slomo reaction of the Lakers bench at the end of the clip
Meanwhile /r/nba: yeah I dunno, the Lakers vibes are at all time low, this team hates each other
Tbf, the Laker fan vibes are low, because a lot of our fanbase are idiots.
i visit r/lakers everyday because of Luka. honestly it’s so weird there. it feels like a third of r/lakers wants Luka out, and another 1⁄3 wants Bron out
It’s insanity there. Lots of disrespect for both the greatest Laker of the past decade, and the greatest Laker of the next decade. Meanwhile, both those two adore each other. There’s also a lot of disrespect for the next homegrown star (AR) the team has produced. And the team is what, 4th/5th seed? And they’ve been injured a lot. Yet they’re beating expectations! I remember they were supposed to be a play-in team according to most “expert” projections.
My rule is never to hang around there after every loss, no exceptions. Unless I want to proverbially throw hands with someone online lmao.
Totally won them the game
I know he’s basically our only tradable asset, but I genuinely hope this org can find a way to keep him.
Just want to point out, st the start Smart is trying to get Rui to come up and set the screen for Luka. Rui points at Smart to do it himself. If Rui comes and sets that screen, then Smart is the one taking that shot instead of Rui. While Smart has been good, you 100% want Rui in that spot over Smart so great decision by Rui.
Just want to point it out as people give Rui a lot of shit for his basketball IQ, but in this situation he was 100% correct.
Lakers sub were slandering him all night rofl, im glad he pulled thru
If all you give him is open shots, he’ll do his job.
What i like is after coming back from injury, he’s legit playing better defense
Laker sub is full of doomers and haters, although to be fair, I’d give Rui all the open shots in the world but when he needs to attack the rim or rebound the ball he’s a liability that’s his problem. His open 3 shot making is elite but he’s mediocre at everything else for his size he was good defensively this game though.
The thing is Rui is a midrange king with +40% 3 point shooting. The front court is already clocked with Luka, Reaves and LeBron so he can’t really thrive in the paint. He will only get low quality balls in the paint. It’s a major reason why his rebound numbers are mediocre. He can’t teleport himself from the 3 point line to the paint. He has to camp on the 3 point line.
They need better ball handling on the bench and he could be a 6 moty candidate imo but they also need to replace his reliable 3 pointer in the starting lineup.
Won us the game
And he more than doubled his season average of rebounds
He’s been really good defensively since coming back from injury and coming off the bench, and this game his shooting finally came back. Terrific game from him.
I love when he’s screaming like that lmao
Luka’s gravity is season. Literally 3 wide open shooters.
Mavs are so trash lol
Team high +21
3 pointer AND1 right before this
RUUUUUIIIIIIIIII
When did he become such a good shooter?
I was ignorant to his game, my apologies Mr Hachimura
