[The Athletic] Members of the Timberwolves organization recommended to the league that the game not be played to give everyone time to process the events and better prepare any extra security measures that may need to be put in place.
The Warriors arrived in Minnesota on Friday and are scheduled to play two games against the Wolves, including one on Monday night. The two teams originally were scheduled to be off on Sunday between the two games.
Members of the Timberwolves organization recommended to the league that the game not be played, team sources told The Athletic, to give everyone time to process the events and better prepare any extra security measures that may need to be put in place in anticipation of further demonstrations in the streets of Minneapolis. League officials agreed and decided to move the game to Sunday at 4:30 p.m. CT at Target Center.
