Aaron Gordon appears to re-injure his right hamstring and is now questionable to return to the game with a right hamstring strain
What is that, three people injured today? Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Aaron Gordon.
Right at about the midpoint of the season
Jalen Green had 2 consecutive seasons of 82 games and now suddenly it’s an impossible challenge to play one full game with the Suns.
They just need to let him rehab the rest of the season.
I think that was the plan until the Suns started actually get momentum, and I imagine wanting to alleviate the added strain on Devin Booker putting up all these minutes was a factor.
Now everything’s fucked.
I don’t know about the other guys, but AG keeps coming back too quickly.
Green took so much time off and it didn’t help at all, but Booker… he tweaked his ankle and didn’t take any time off and now hurts the other ankle
Different ankle this time.
Which is honestly probably the worse off scenario.
Yeah I heard somewhere it was the same ankle and I just checked for myself and it isn’t
Jalen Green got hurt again? Fuck man.
Hamstring again apparently they are probably the most likely re-injury in sports
Yep, it’s super common within the same season. It’s a fucking nuisance to rehab
He aggravated the same hamstring. This is like three times now that he’s come back too soon and immediately aggravated it again within like a game and a half. :(
Giannis injured now as well. It doesnt look good
i just strained my right shoulder after stretching today too. adam silver needs to fucking do something
Wtf Jalen Green got injured? Didn’t he just get healthy???
Jalen Green
The fuck, are you kidding me? Jalen Green is injured again? He just came back! Wow, what a shit time for a large majority of basketball fans
Giannis
JG and Book went down in the same game?! Damn
Fade me
Feels like in exchange for finally having Jamal healthy for a year you get AG and even Jokic out for awhile.
Brutal.
and Cam johnson, and Christian Brown, and JV. Don’t stop there lol
True. On the bright side, their remaining guys, even bench players, have stepped up immensely.
Much much better than last year. So they will keep winning games, especially as Jokic returns.
But AG is absolutely critical for their Playoff hopes specifically. He is big for them vs. OKC.
They don’t win the ring without AG
Pwat with two sprained ankles.
Braun*, but yes. So many injures
Feels like a bad deal when Jamal has also missed games 😅
Injury prone player staying healthy while everyone else falls around him? Have the Nuggets looked for any electrical substations around their practice facility?
Not Gordon man, he is the reason I like the Nuggets 😓😓
Playing a guy with like three different nagging leg injuries as the sole starter on a B2B doesn’t seem very smart.
I mean he is going to to need to find some rhythm, im sure he wanted to play to help his team.
As an OKC fan with the epitome of hospital squad this year, somehow the Nuggets might be even worse off.
OKC is the epitome of hospital squad with Pacers and Nuggets situation has to be a joke right?
We have the third most games lost to injury with over 230 games this season. Nuggets aren’t even in the top five.
SGA has been constant sure, but tonight we had Hartenstein, jDub, Caruso, Wiggins and AJ Mitchell out.
We have quite literally no other healthy primary ball handlers other than,SGA, on the roster currently.
But don’t let facts get in the of a good story I suppose.
You aren’t playing G league teams out there. No matter the injuries, you still mostly have your rotational pieces logging significant minutes in most games.
We have quite literally no other healthy primary ball handlers other than,SGA
Nuggets have none if Jamal is out. Pacers were legit playing 3rd stringers alongside Pascal for several weeks. How does one look at the OKC team on court and think they’re “hospital team”. Your depth is more than deep enough to make quality rotations even with several players out.
Has Jamal, Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson not been playing?
Yes I understand its not Jokic, but both Jamal and AG are better players than Chet.
We are consistently having to play two, two way players, but yeah sure five guys out of your core rotation is ‘several players’.
Both Jamal and AG sit most of the B2B games and AG got hurt again the one B2B game he didn’t sit. The one guy who was looking good recently (Watson) got both his ankles hurt. They’re one injury away from calling themselves Grand Rapids Gold (Denver G league team).
He only recently returned and is still on a minutes restriction
Absolutely fail from Denver. Do the ramp up when the whole squad is back, not now
Rip the fully healthy timeline for the team pt 20
Jokic is finally on his way back…that’s gonna cost you another starter
No starters left lol
not smart playing this guy in a b2b
Seriously what the hell were they thinking, that should’ve been the protocol for the rest of the season
And bucks still taking it belt to ass
Alexa play “The End” by the Doors
Not a great day for hamstrings huh
Get well soon AG, league ain’t the same without Mr. Nugget
It’s a very important game! Second night of a back to back against an eastern conference team that’s bordering on becoming a bottom feeder! Huge game!
Dude has been injuring this same hamstring for 3 years now. It’s time to consider he’s a part time player.
Different sport, but this happened to Julio Jones, seems like hamstrings can just go haywire
the league is the exact same
Why on earth did they play him in this game with all the others out
I feel like the Nuggets have seriously mismanaged Gordon’s injuries lately. Let my man rest when he’s not close to 100%
Yeah, I thought he was on a minutes restriction and is not suppose to play b2bs. They’ve been playing him over the mintues restriction seemingly every game, and now is trying to play him on both legs of a b2b. Christian Braun too, he came back and tried to play in the same game he got injured in when he looked like he couldn’t even walk. Then they brought him back after 2 months, played 3 games and he’s out again. Like wtf is the medical staff doing.
I agree. Just catapult the training staff into the sun
This type of injury is easily reaggravated if you get brought back even the tiniest bit too soon without full recovery…sucks.
I want us to take our time with JDubs because I do not want another playoff run where a top 3 player has a lingering injury the whole time
Yup it sucks. We dealt that that kinda stuff in 2016 and 2019. Even in 2017 and 2018, we got lucky KD was able to come back early (in 2017) and Steph was able to ramp up in time to win the Rockets series (2018 WCF, the only time that team got pushed to 7…)
Basically AG is out until after the ASB, hopefully its not that bad.
Rest him for two months
fuck it rest him til playoffs
LTIR him
Likely he wont be back till the end of Febuary and at that point, Denver would be at full strength except for AG, and AG can have a month and a half to come to form with the team.
Never should have played this game
Hurt himself almost the same way as versus the Thunder last year
If he plays another back to back the rest of his career Adleman should be fucking fired
Fuck my stupid chungus life
This dumbass fucking team playing him on a back to back.
Injuries the only thing stopping the Nuggets this year damn
AG’s hamstrings have failed him
Maybe he blew them out doing the craziest dunk in the history of the dunk contest and we’re just now seeing the consequences.
First Jalen and now this smh, hamstring injuries are a curse
Can we like go back in time today? Double suns injury, Devin injured, now AG… what the hell
The nugget’s training staff needs to get its shit together, way too many injuries this year :(
Fuck me
I guess could be worse, just rest him for however long he needs to be 100%, especially with everyone else soon coming back. Like we just need him for the playoffs, 4 starters with Jokic + how good our bench has been playing, should easily be enough for the regular season.
Bro is it the cold air from the storm or WTF is going on?
Hamstring injuries have a high rate of recurrence.
Hamstring injuries are tough. They have a really high chance of reoccurance, which happens a lot in football. Even in the basketball, we’ve seen that just recently with Aaron Gordon, Jalen Green, and Darryn Peterson.
This is karmic retribution for the Jokic lob to AG game winning dunk with 0.1 left on the clock, you can’t hit plays with that much sauce and expect the universe to let you play together for long after that
No that was karma for not winning the dunk contest. The gods knew he should have won
Im not sure either of you know what karma means
Nope
His hamstring gotta be spiderweb consistency bruh.
I’m at the point with AG that I don’t trust him to stay healthy for a full playoffs
Sadness
RIP. Terrible. Jalen Green had the same thing happen. JDub is cooked.
its over
and your 2026 nba champions.. OKC again!
They’re in a hospital too. At this rate the pelicans are going to win
its the price we must pay for jamallstar
Fuck…
At this rate the Clippers might still make the playoffs
Eh they can but I don’t trust their health either
Kawhi hasn’t exactly been iron man
If he gets hurt it’s over for them
Put this man in bubble wrap for the playoffs
Love that he still tried the dribble move on Kuzma with 1 hamstring
Fucking hamstrings, man
Everybody said why even play him tonight . Why risk it .
Just shut it down. Win a chip next year.
With these hamstring injuries after coming back, makes me more comfortable with scoot being out half the season. Shit seems way too easy to reaggravated.
Time to put him in bubble wrap until the playoff
If Gordon isn’t healthy for the playoffs, Denver’s realistic shot of a chip goes away.
I was really upset when we played injured Murray through the 2024 playoffs, and he played badly (and then he kept playing for Team Canada). It does no one any favors to try and steal a couple games at the cost of keeping injuries aggravated and potentially fucking up careers.
Let the man rest!
Dude is killing my fantasy league
Man again Denver is not winning a championship their durability is not there.
If that’s the reasoning neither will okc
Jokic and Braun are also ironmen who had just crazy unlucky injuries, they are not injury prone players
Okc is a lot more younger and fresh with less wear and tear and also Braun should not still be in street clothes. I thought he was supposed to come back at the very beginning of January.
They literally constantly have people injured
And yeah, the Braun injury was worse than projected, he came back for a bit but has had to spend more weeks recovering. I’m actually not surprised, the injury type was one of those negative steps that can cause an Achilles tear and while it’s fortunate that didn’t happen, he needs some more time to recover. But I’m not worried about him for the playoffs, that’s months away and unless the injury is season ending it shouldn’t be a problem
Who’s constantly injured other than Jdub ? I know a few of them are load managing and then suit up a couple games after.
Hart and chet both have injury issues
Hart’s calf has been bothering him for a while fair enough, Chet has played 40 games this season though.
Im not saying it will continue to be a problem but I look at past history to see how it could affect the future, and Chet just has had those problems.
I personally don’t think the injuries so far (or the injury history) really say too much about the thunder not being able to be healthy for the playoffs, but I do think it’s unfair to judge the nuggets to not be able to be healthy and then turn around and claim the thunder won’t have an issue
Chet just has had those problems.
What problems though? Yeah he had two freak injuries but he hasn’t had any lingering ones like a calf strain or hamstring issue yet(knock on wood).
He also played every possible playoff game for OKC in his short career.
That’s why I said fair enough for Hartenstein, those are the injuries that can be problematic long term, this isn’t the first time in his career his soleus has been bothering him. We also rushed him back this season and it popped off again just a few games later.
With Chet I haven’t seen anything like that yet. Maybe his back? Idk.
Chet has been load managing my boy he’s played 40 games out of 46 this season.
The Thunder have zero seeding concerns. Nobody comes back until they are 110%. Their injuries look worse than they are since they’ll sit people with a hangnail
everyone will be healthy for the playoffs
What makes you so sure about that. Isn’t that the term most players use if you limp into the season you’re gonna limp into the playoffs.
Facts they’ve literally been healthy for one playoff run in 2020
It seems like the Nuggets don’t need anyone from the rotation to win games, so who knows. Julian Strawther FMVP?
Bucks gotta let Giannis go I’m sorry Milwaukee fans.
Lakers are winning it all
Ah yes the Lakers, the pinnacle of health
with what roster
We have the best second round draft pick in NBA history
LeBron James >!Jr.!<
You never know, Luka could catch fire in the playoffs.
If the Nuggets are smart they’ll get off AG this offseason. Retire his Jersey obviously but for the last 2 season hes missed a month plus
If you let Aaron Gordon go you’ll immediately see how big his defensive impact is. Jokic is not a terrible defender but Gordon makes him look much better, and those kinda players don’t grow on trees.
If Bill Russell played 10 games a year how impactful is his defense?
10 games a year lol
75, 68, 73, 51, 22. Games played the last 5 seasons for AG. 22 this year already, them saying 10 games is legit hilarious even if he’s missed like half the season.
Sorry 40 what a paragon of health
Hey man I’m a rival fan, what do I know?
I sincerely hope they let Gordon go lol
Oh yeah only quadruple the first example, nothing much different you’re right
and ag is only 1⁄4 the defender of Bill Russell
You can’t accept the loss. Geez.
Look at his last 5 years btw. 75, 68, 73, 51 and currently 22 games played. Seems like even if he is only 1/4th as impactful as Russell on defense (likely not true btw) he is playing near double that 40 games benchmark 3⁄5 seasons.
Only last year he missed significant time and this year. But it’s not a trend from his past years with the Nuggets, they had a good run with him each time.
What an absurd example.
Not sure I agree with getting rid of him as it will be hard to upgrade on him he was their 2nd best playoff performer last year and their most clutch player
Dude AG is like the Draymond of the Nuggets. Not in terms of anything negative, but the positive aspects. You cannot understate his impact. In truth he is like the Draymond and Murray is like the Klay.
