The entire Jazz gameplan was to take him out of the play entirely on defense and he still had 5 blocks lmao
He was guarding the ballhandler in the first half which was Nurk. He had zero blocks in the first half and was getting cooked by Nurk in the post and his passing.
When he came back in from his 3rd quarter rest Mitch went back to our usual Wemby roams while keepin a foot in the paint and he just locked them all up from there on out lol.
Champagnie and Fox were the main offball culprits.
It’s frustrating how Fox is good at keeping up with guys on ball on defense but falls asleep a lot in most other defensive situations

Olynyk suddenly having by far the worst 3 pt shooting season of his career is really annoying. His quickness is a big issue too. He’s clearly still a smart player though.
I was at the game and his 3 attempts were so bad and so was his defense. Jazz made big runs with him on the court. They really need to find someone else

I would sincerely rather stick Sochan at the 5 and play literally anyone at the 4 than put Olynyk back out there. He’s a shitcan on defense and he does NOTHING offensively except scrap for rebounds, and he only does that occasionally. But he’s a fucking black hole on the court, I’d rather see literally anyone else on the floor right now, even if it means moving Champagnie to the 4 for stretches of play.
Doesnt even have to be a “good” backup by all means, just an athletic rim-runner
