[Injury] Jonathan Kuminga turns his ankle on a drive and asks to come out of the game.
I don’t know what’s funnier, that he physically moved a little girl out of her seat so he could take it for a moment, or the guy two three seats over trying desperately to get a fist bump from a player that just had an injury.
Either way, hopefully just a minor sprain.
Lol the fist bump request is fantastic. This is the type of dude that interrupts someone’s dinner for a photo.
Best time to get an autograph is when you catch a famous person pooping. They got a signing shelf right there and they can’t run away.
Asking for a photo while at the urinals is the best tactic i’ve found. George Michael was more than willing when I asked him back in the day, heck he even asked for a photo of me!
I will be adding this fake anecdote to my collection.
Best time to get an autograph is when you catch a famous person pooping.
Reminds me of the time I got Chow Yun Fat’s autograph back in 2004
I prefer in the portashitter or outhouse. They are legit trapped.
Nothing says I love you, like running a chain around a portashitter while your favorite NBA star is in there and hooking it to your vehicle to go home.
LOL
A signing shelf while pooping? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5daprgCh5b0
Wait till he meets Steve Blake at the grocery store
And then posts online about the celebrity being an asshole.
I honestly can’t fathom these people lol. I saw Steven Adams just standing and waiting at an airport and I didn’t even want to bother him then.
Its also funny to see how big these nba players are lmao look how big Kuminga looks beside the lady he’s sitting with
the little girl he moved out the seat is actually 6’3. nba scale is incredible
Dark souls
I don’t like watching injuries, but this comment made me go back. So good :)
Lmao that’s so obnoxious! Why yes, the injured guy wants to shake your hand 🤡
Just a minor ankle sprain with a hint of tradeitis thrown in.
C. Kerr’s reaction in the foreground knowing he’ll be stuck with him longer if he gets hurt
lol never seen that. I’ve seen spectators run away like when Shaq dove into crowd
But not a player forcing a spectator (even worse a kid) out of their seat
He drank her beer too
Kuminga began the game with 10 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound, and 2 steals in just 9 minutes. He was 3⁄3 from the floor and 4⁄4 from the free throw line. A +18 in his minutes.
He knew he had increased his trade value and had to get the hell outta there lol
He felt the demand to his demand?
He felt the need for speed… ing the heck out of the game
A lot easier to be traded when everyone wants you
Nah fr I was kinda thinking the same thing, mainly as a fuck you to kerr.

Jonathan “McAfee 30 Days” Kuminga
shame on Kuminga for scoring so efficiently. doesn’t he know he’s disrupting Kerr’s offensive flow of letting Podz chuck up 3’s?
Redditors feeling so vindicated since these are the first ten minutes they’ve seen him play instead of the whole rest of his career of boneheaded plays.
He has games like this every 4 or 5.
Hes got all the making of a good NBA player and top 1% athleticism
Podziemski does the same thing but doesn’t actively hurt the team in the other 4-5 games, yet this sub will tell you Kuminga is better and Kerr is a bum for preferring Podz.
Its because Podz ceiling is a good NBA role player.
Kumingas ceiling is still All NBA.
Thats all it is, IMO.
If we are talking about purely physical profile then yeah sure, Cam Whitmore also has an All-NBA ceiling. But then probably 10-15% of the league has an All-NBA ceiling. There’s tons of dudes who can jump out of the gym but have room temperature BBIQ. I’ll change my mind on Kuminga when I actually see him play smarter for more than 3 games at a time. And I don’t think that will happen when he’s on the Warriors.
Neither has an all NBA ceiling but we have already seen JK be capable of stringing together multiple 20 pts games which is more than anyone not named Steph can do on this team
Dude has regressed from 60 TS% to 53% (league average is 58% for comparison) these past two seasons. On this year’s team, his percentage is only higher than one teammate (Pat Spencer) who’s played more than 20 games. It’d be better to just have two better shooters get 10 points each lol
Yes, thats where everybody is at lol
All NBA is crazy lol, it would have been a lot more realistic if you said all star
Nobody who’s watched Kuminga the last five seasons thinks Kuminga is getting to all NBA level.
What a take after 10 minutes of ball.
Its not just 10 minutes.
If you’ve watched all of his last 5 seasons you would have seen the flashes too.
I’m not saying he will get there. I’m saying his ceiling is still higher than Podz.
When podz can have back to back 30 PT games I’ll believe
Dumb metric lmao. He’s not a first option scorer.
He seems to have these games every time his minutes are consistent. When he plays 28+ his averages are very good. When he plays less than 24 mins not so much.
Kuminga’s first game after a series of dnps he scores 20 and a bunch of other good stats.
There’s gonna be better demand for kuminga than demand for podz anyway of the week lol
They’re just not the same type of player. Obviously Kuminga performing at his best is capable of more on the court. But when Podz has a poor night he is still playing a team concept. Take it from a Warriors fan, when Kuminga has a bad game it’s like playing 4v5. I get mad at the FO and Kerr too but Kuminga has times where he is legit unplayable.
There is next to 0 demand for either one of them lol. Podz also had 24/6/4 like 2 games ago. The difference is he can do things other than just score. JK barely moves the ball at all.
What are you talking about? This is his floor, he’s such a good talent. The all-NBA potential is there.
please god someone make a dumb trade for him
With the comments his own GM and coach have made about him someone’s going to give the warriors a massive package
Kerr was lowering Podz minutes too
He better since that guy was really trying to showboat with a breakaway dunk just to get owned by Martin
You realize that Podz is shooting 40% from 3pt and is a career 38% 3pt shooter, right? What coach or fan wouldn’t want that kind of shooter to shoot open threes? You’re behind on the Reddit narrative and shouldn’t have believed it in the first place; Podz has largely been a very positive player when not forced into a role he shouldn’t have to fill because of injuries. He’s not some crazy super star or anything, but he’s not a horrible player like is constantly said. Now, unless you’re saying you wouldn’t want a 40% shooter to be shooting threes, I think letting Podz shoot when he’s open is generally a good idea. And it’s only on 4.5 attempts per game, anyway, hardly chucking.
Funny you mention efficiency, though. Kuminga has a 53% TS right now with a 54% mark last year. He’ll have good games like this, but then he’ll have major clunkers. Maybe he could get into more of a rhythm on a team who didn’t have someone like Steph who is the offensive focal point, but it also isn’t like he’s shown to be this unstoppable offensive force that you build an offense on. He has potential, as do many players in the league. But there’s a long way for him to go towards living up to that potential. I hope he can do it with the Warriors or another team (as a change in scenery is likely), but based on what I’ve seen, I can understand why he took a back seat—particularly when you factor the Warriors’ personnel in. As we’ve seen with other players over the years, some can play within it and thrive. Others just don’t have that particular ability and they founder.
For reference, Podz is at 59% TS, quite higher than his career averages (just as Kuminga’s is lower than his career averages), but that doesn’t stop it from being a good enough sample size that we can say letting Podz shoot threes is a good thing. The Warriors are 11th in ORTG, about as good or better than you’d expect for a team with aging stars and largely cheap roleplayers. Finally, their team TS% is 59.2%. So, again, it’d seem that the offense as a whole is more efficient than Kuminga.
Absolutely prop up Kuminga. But be realistic about it, and don’t fall back on narratives that have stopped being true. Putting down another player to prop up your guy is yucky.
Steve, the game hasn’t ended yet get off your phone!
Y’all are really weird with this stuff.
The guy implied Podz was a chucker. I pointed out that Podz is an accurate 3pt shooter and doesn’t shoot high volume. This directly refutes the idea that he’s a chucker. But because you’re on team “Anti-Kerr” or “Anti-Podz,” you can just decidedly ignore this. This is not healthy behavior, my man.
Podz is 40% from 3 pt this year. He’s been on a heater lately as a backup G.
i’m talking about tonight where he’s 0-3 from 3pt
he’s also cooled down in January. shit even his FT% in January is 67% lol
He’s a SG. We need to stop calling him a PG. Podz is a small SG and is much better as a secondary imitator.
People are so weird about Podz.
He’s shooting 39% on threes this season and is at 38% for his career. He shot 44% in college.
He’s 22 years old.
He’s taking fewer than 5 threes per game.
If anything, he should be shooting more threes.
Kuminga dominated last year against the wolves in the playoffs. Say what you want but he has a high floor offensively
I agree. In last year’s playoffs it seemed like both Kerr and Reddick were coaching to prove a point rather than to win games against the wolves
What point was Kerr trying to prove against the Wolves, that he can’t win without Steph? They went up 1-0 after Steph left mid game, and then were without their best player for the next 4, where JK averaged +30min/game.
I’m not saying Kerr hasn’t made his share of mistakes, dude definitely can be stubborn as hell with some of his decisions. Straight up DNPing Kuminga after he rehabbed his injuries this season was unnecessary, and it’d have been nice to find a way to incorporate JK last season post-Butler trade, if not just to have the option for some extra help (…maybe you close the Rockets out sooner than 7 games), but that was complicated by JK’s injury and the team’s sprint to the finish (found rotations that worked before he was healthy and closed the season 23-8, just one game shy of the 6th seed an no play-in, and a tiebreaker up on the 8th seed and a road play-in).
You could say it about this season, you could say it about regular seasons prior, but the Wolves series? Where they were down Steph? And where JK actually played? “Coaching to prove a point” makes 0 sense for that situation.
I watched those games, Kuminga was scoring a lot against us at the expense of everyone and everything else, he’s not a winning player, never has been.
Yup. Ppl just read stat sheets it’s insane
Dominated? The Warriors lost most of the minutes JK played. He played very well and kept it somewhat close, but I wouldn’t say he dominated.
Nobody has ever argued otherwise. If he didn’t have negative basketball IQ he would play more often. Dude is going to average 22 on his next team and be in the lottery every year.
IQ aint gonna make the undersized guards Kerr plays instead to be able to get a shot off against a 6’8 wing
Warriors got completely ran out the gym entirely due to athleticism
Sure but you still can’t break the system. Spo is doing the exact same thing with Kel’el ware. Even if you are better than the other fringe guys if you can’t complement our actual good players then you can’t play.
system of what? Warriors offense is resorting to Draymond shooting 3’s lol. that’s good offense to you?
telll me when Ware has gotten DNPed for months like Kerr did to Kuiminga
Spo also has a loooong record of developing players. Kerr doesn’t
Fine, we’ll take Luka for him.
what about a roughly used lebron
Don’t you mean ceiling?
I feel like Kuminga has a lot of potential, and I’ve been rooting for him too. It’s very much a mental game with him, beginning of the year he was awesome. That first Nuggets game had him doing everything great. He was genuinely fighting his instincts to iso, playing active defence, and passing out.
Just seems like he’s the type of guy that needs to stay involved. It’s kind of hard to do that on the team since the main lineup has Steph/Jimmy/Dray, and the bench still prioritizes using Podz(or Jimmy). He has his faults but I do bemoan Kerr DNPing him.
Holy shit what is Adam silver cooking, the script for this years season is so good im gonna cry
Aaaaand….he a bitch.
He was fantastic.
If you are even considered to be a future Mav your health is at risk
Injured by association
Secondhand injury
It’s an audition for the mavs
Damn electrical substation.
Bet some niners players were there spreading the radiation
As a Niners/Kings fan I think the safest thing to do is ban all Niners players from the Chase Center
hard to judge from a video but didn’t look too bad, hopefully it’s just a rolled ankle or mild sprain
Reporters asked Kerr after the game what is the status of Kuminga’s injury. Kerr replied that he suffered knee sprain, ACL and Achilles tear along with a few broken ribs, to which reporter surprisingly asked if all of that came from his minor bump on the court.
Kerr replied that no and added that he and the boys roughed him up on his way to a locker room.
I would pay to hear this interview.
Kerr said it in a tough Irish accent too that came out of nowhere.
Kerr told the media “unfortunately, Kuminga killed himself in the locker room. Two shots to the back of the head.”
He broke the code and had to suffer the consequences
And a broken hand from when he eventually fist bumped that fan.
Nah Kerr wouldn’t let that out of their walls - it’s like a family dispute, you wouldn’t discuss it with the world.
Hold up, Kerr would never divulge that information. There’s a code, remember?
I’m saying tho. This was a direct fuck you to kerr.
If you slow it down around 3 seconds you can see him roll his left ankle and continue his jumping motion from the side of his foot. That’s a lot of weight to launch off of from a turned ankle so he probably has a sprain.
He steps on Williams’ foot which leads to him rolling his ankle
Let me ask this tiny child for their seat while I wince in pain, instead of the coaching staff coming to him if he’s injured.
ok man
Just trade him for an iron man like Kuz.
That really was Kerr’s expression.
Looks like a rolled ankle to me. Hoping that ends up being the case
He clearly sprained stepping on Williams’ foot, it was on a full stride. Other situations athletes adapt how to shift their weight when they are losing stability/balance, but this was quite atypical
When you have been not playing for so long and then you go out and play your first game at 100% you will increase your risk of injury.
Its like not going to the gym for the past 3 months then on your 1st day back you try to lift the same weight you tried last time.
there’s also something called practice….lol
and he only played 10 minutes.
because of his freak build, people always forget what a huge injury liability he’s been too
It’s clearly trench foot
That dude needed that fist bump badly lol
One of the worst dude feelings there is - going in for that poorly timed fist-bump and it’s just, hanging there…. forever lol
Imo only topped by sticking your hand up for a fist bump when your friend comes in for a shake and having to decide whether to commit or follow along
Kerr on the bench stabbing the shit outta his Kuminga voodoo doll
Just as he’s about to get playing time, guy can’t catch a break
I mean he showed he’s got talent. Demonstrated it before, he just needs to get the hell away from Kerr.
I sincerely hope that’s what other teams think but it doesn’t sound like that’s the case…
Your organization is self destructing, they’ve actively sabotaged JK’s trade value at almost every turn.
Just to be surprised there isn’t much of a market.
lol he asked the little girl to move so he could sit for a second
Little Girl: “Are you Mister DNP I’ve heard about?”
I want to see Kerr’s reaction
You should probably watch the video then
Holy shit, I didn’t even see tiny Steve down there, he was covered by the title and description 🤣🤣🤣
Kuminga is the most talked about average player of all time, right?
Thing is, we won’t know if he’s bad, average, or great until he has a coach/team that he can play freely for
Might be a career ender
Poor JoKu. He may develop depression in addition to the injury
Dude still waiting for that fist bump. Come on man. Guy just got injured.
And thats the last time youll ever see him on a Warriors jersey.
Meanwhile, in Sacramento, the Kings see this and start to wonder if they can get away with telling the Warriors that Derozan is now going to cost them Kuminga and a pick.
I would do a 2026 protect first plus kuminga for demar
GSW: let’s tank his value.
Kuminga: let me do it myself.
Nets would have been great for Kuminga. But trading post-Steph picks for MPJ without Jimmy doesn’t make sense now.
If Curry wants to contend for his final years, then he needs to ask for a trade
Simpsons hat meme lol
So sick of hearing about this guy. He’s just a guy
I almost feel bad for JK
I do in a sense. But part of me feels like he really has to have an extremely shitty/resentful attitude to get put in the doghouse this badly… things like this don’t happen for no reason
On a team where people and the coach practically blamed a player that got punched for getting punched rather than the person who did it to him, I’m generally never going to assume something like that.
And I say that as someone who actually likes Kerr.
Did that guy ever get his fist bump
Now he hates GSW even more
I bet Kerr was smiling on the sideline when this happened. He hates Kuminga so much lol
“Sorry Joe, but now I don’t have to play him. high five!”
The Karma for 4X titles is real. I’d still take the titles but the basketball gods want nothing good for the Dubs anytime soon. Sorry Steph.
Story of Kuminga’s career. Has a good stretch of play, gets injured. It’s been his MO his entire career
It’s Joever part 2
Fake injury.. kid doesn’t wasn’t to play
Looks like his left ankle rolls when he steps on the defender’s foot/shoe.
Kerr cannot wait for the post-game questions about this
Damn, not a good week for the Big Demand
that’s a crazzyy nickname 😭
Anyone knows why he started wearing a shirt just like GP ll as well
Tweaked from collecting DNPs and atrophy
JK: Trade me bitch
Trade curry and tank the team? This team may as well run on rookies
Damn I don’t like the kuminga saga one bit but this really bums me out.
Been immobilised with an ankle sprain for 10 days.
Didn’t know it can get that serious.
His career in a nutshell
just tank man
he stayed in the game everyone
Broke the code
thats 3 weeks
“You can’t demand a trade, if you’re injured” MDJ
lmaoooo
He really does want out doesn’t he..
lol
When he change his jersey number?
Lol sure
Kings are salivating
They come in 3’s…
This whole thing is cinema.
Just trade Steph to an east coast team
The fist bump was sending me loool
The state of NBA jerseys and team recognition is beyond a joke.
If I didn’t know this was Kuminga, at a glance I would have thought it was Zion or maybe Obi Toppin.
You’re telling me the Warriors are wearing that jersey?
Shouldn’t this be titled Kuminga kicks teammate in testicles and asks to come out of the game
Ohh boy
That’s a James Hardin Injury
He got pushed?
lol that old white guy with the fist bump
All this hoopla over a meh player
Good thing Milwaukee will soon trade Gianis for all of GS’s scrubs
Ask curry to an ankle brace…
Bruh wtf
Stepped on dudes foot
Yea that trade value is cooked
Kings jersey is waiting
That’s what the Warriors get for benching him for 16 games, to suddenly expecting him to win games for them.
They said sore knee. He doesn’t grab his ankle. I think it’s a sprained LCL of his left knee. Look how it buckles to the left as he plants on the other guy’s foot.
Can’t wait to see this dude on another team
WTF . How
I don’t understand why guys don’t do a better job taping their ankles and so many guys don’t wear actual ankle braces. They work a hell of a lot better than people give them credit for. Yes they can be a little uncomfortable but once you get used to it you do not notice them. I used to have ankle problems for years and I would roll my ankles all the time in my basketball leagues and open gym and once I found the right pair of ankle braces it rarely happens at all.
Beginning of the end
Haven’t been following NBA for a while, what’s up with him? Does he want to get traded or what
He demanded a lot from that ankle.
just saw his trade value actually decline sadly, hate it for him
What a waste of a season from a young player. Golden state is a bullshit wreck atm. Wasting Steph’s last good years, Butler is now out for the season, Kuminga wasting a year from his career for nothing, Kerr is just being used horribly by a useless player who is far removed from his prime and can do shit anymore……idk why they still keep Draymond. This team still has a chance but they need to go young like yesterday already.
Lmao he pulls the little girl out of her seat and ignores the old man’s dap attempt. You love to see it
