Honestly, say what you will about Ham, but in his first season he got Westbrook looking like 6MOTY before his trade, had DLo revitalized (until he shit the bed in the WCF), made the BEST defense in the league after the trade deadline, and he made the WCF in his first year.

On the bright side things will be better next season. Micic will be off the books and Kuzma and his massive contract will be in an expiring year so that’s a tradeable asset for a potential upgrade. Kuzma is currently the 3rd highest paid guy on the team. Trading him would be huge for the team. Young guys like Rollins, AJ Green, KPJ, Ajax will be better.

It probably would have benefited the Bucks as well, earlier would have been better, maybe they could have traded him to like Atlanta for the Pels pick and their own pick next year and tank without him, to get potentially 2 top 5-6 picks in a super hyped draft, because they have the worst swap of Pels/Bucks as well, then tank again for 27 and add another top 5-6 pick. All of a sudden, you just flipped a fcked up situation with no picks or future or assets into worst case scenario, 3 top 6 picks on rookie contracts and a lot of cap space. Best case dream scenario, into like Peterson, Boozer and another top pick but that’s a bit of a dream.

While Giannis and Dame both put up pretty good numbers together ultimately it didn’t translate to winning ( was it just because of bad timing playoff injuries?). Granted Steve Kerr is a better coach than Doc, but what would be left of the bench?

Long story short, how much different would a Steph/Giannis team-up be compared to the Dame/Giannis combo?
