[Highlight] Marcell Ozuna scales the wall as the ball drops on the warning track
This is one of my favorite lowlights of all time. Never gets old.
I was actually at this game, about 15 rows up behind the first base dugout. I was laughing so hard, and then I realized I was the only person in my area laughing. And then I got self conscious that the players in the dugout could hear me. And then I got a boner out of fear and my friend asked why I was acting funny and I had to lie and just told them I spray farted a bit and the people in front of me heard me say that and I’ll never forget the look on the old man’s face.
I had to lie and just told them I spray farted a bit
Tell me, shittydickfarts, was it a lie?
my favorite part about this story is when you got the boner
He’s done this TWICE

I didn’t know about this one.
HAHAHA, OMG, I love this one!
Since it was to left center we get to see Pham tracking it as well. He’s got be wondering, “What the hell are you doing?”
Ozuna’s antics must have felt like a knife in the back to Pham.
At least he knows what that feels like
At least that one hit the wall, the one against the dodgers was way, way worse (and funnier).
As a cardinals fan, the one against the brewers is frustrating, but I saw the one against the dodgers in person, and it was just instantly funny. Everyone knew that would be a top lowlight of all time.
With 2 outs and 2 runners on. Brutal
This is the one I thought it would be until I saw the video start playing
Sums up his time as a Cardinal pretty well
I think we’ve all been here one way or another at our own jobs
I know it’s hard to even conceive of now, but Marcell Ozuna was legitimately one of the best fielders in the game ten years ago. He was hella fast, too.
I don’t believe you
I honestly had no clue. Dude even won a GG
What? When? I followed him since he was a rookie and he was never considered to be a very good fielder.
Edit: it looks like in his first year and a half he was an above average fielder. After that he was average then below average.
Yeah but has he fouled off a 1-2 pitch against Chris Sale (a pitcher for the Atlanta Braves for context)
The real benchmark
“What, is the trainer gonna run out there with a GPS?” kills me
He made the Dodger bullpen so happy!
At least it didn’t bounce off his head and then over the fence. (Also he’s a DH and he has a gold glove. I think…)
The word highlight is doing heavy lifting here.
Won a Gold Glove the previous year
You get to a lot more balls by being able to just turn your back to a ball and run full sprint. All it takes is the wind to knock the ball down or for the hit to have lacked backspin and sometimes it just does not carry anywhere near where you expect. But the vast majority of the time it does and you end up making a play that someone that needs to track the ball at all times never gets to.
I would die on the inside after doing that. I also felt like that when I ran full throttle into the chain link fence while tracking down a fly ball.
Why do you think he spends so long laying on the ground? He’s just hoping everyone will leave so he can go crawl into a corner.
to be fair he probably was really a little dazed cuz his head does whip back pretty hard but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was laying there out of embarrassment too
He did die inside, the way he just slumped to the ground was complete defeat
Let him get away with it, he’s Ozuna from the Braves Cardinals after all
Look how clean that broadcast is. No mound ad, no uniform ads, no ads on the grass, no random ‘presented by’ bugs in the corners. I want to go back
That’s the funniest sh@t I’ve seen in a long time. How am I seeing this for the first time?
I think about this moment way too often for absolutely no reason.
I do too. I think it’s because there’s something relatable about it
ahem
That’s noted gold glove winner Marcell Ozuna to you.
The Ozuna Era was not my favorite
Eye on the ball
my life.
This is perfect. No notes.
He has a Gold Glove btw
When you play The Show for the first time.
All time great blooper
Couldn’t have happened to a better guy
When you wanna be Spider-Man but you don’t actually need a wall.
Just missed it
I thought he was on drugs the first time i saw this back in the day
This makes me happy
I was there! Funniest thing I’ve ever seen at a baseball stadium.
He misjudged the depth so badly that you almost don’t even notice that he is a couple feet off on the other axis as well.
I saw a slowed down edit of this play with Frank Sinatra’s My Way playing over it. Can’t find it anywhere but it makes it 10x funnier 😭😂
What the fuck man. This isn’t a routine fly out. Where’s my normal plays?
Elite
Surely the young pitchers he was traded for didn’t turn out to much ….
This’ll win you a gold glove in left field
And this is from when Ozuna was better at defense.
This is an all timer for me. Just hang it in the louvre.
You gotta give it to him, he never gave up on the play. Imagine if he caught it after that desperation dive.
This is the exact moment he became a full time DH.
