[MLBTR] Twins To Acquire Tristan Gray
They already have a Tristan and they already have a Gray. Having a second of each just wouldn’t fly.
Idk that’s the kind of roster depth we’ll be missing in August
He’s a 29-year-old infielder with a career .634 OPS in the majors. Some other minor league call-up or free agent pickup would be just as easy to find.
ok but what if Sonny Gray and Tristan Casas both get hurt and we have no starting Tristan and no starting Gray?
… I’ve got nothing.
More shitty ass infielder stones. The infinity gauntlet has got to be full at this point, right?
I dream a dream of a Curtis Mead, Joey Wendle, Tristan Gray, Taylor Walls infield. then by the fifth inning it’s Jose Caballero, Amed Rosario, Richie Palcios, Christopher Morel, Vidal Brujan infield.
I know some of them aren’t on the rays anymore. but in a way… aren’t they always going to be on the rays?
That’s a nightmare
I only dream of vidal brujan
Vidal Brujan was just DFA’d by Minnesota to make room for Gray. The circle of life.
Sox had to clear a 40 man for Suarez. Not too surprising.
Oops, all lefties

“On November 18, the Red Sox acquired infielder Tristan Gray in a small trade with Tampa Bay and made him their first 40-man roster addition of the offseason. Now, he’s on the move again.
In part to clear a 40-man spot for free agent addition Ranger Suárez, who will be announced as the newest member of the club Wednesday morning at Fenway Park, the Red Sox have swung a minor trade to send Gray to the Twins, sources said. The return is not yet known. Boston’s 40-man roster was full, so the club needed to make a move to accommodate the addition of Suárez, whose five-year, $130 million contract will soon be official after he passed a physical.
Gray was acquired from the Rays for reliever Luis Guerrero earlier in the offseasonand was expected to compete for a utility role in spring training. Gray, a 29-year-old left-handed hitter, appeared in 30 games for the Rays in 2025. He batted .231 with a .282 on-base percentage, .410 slugging percentage and .693 OPS, three homers and five doubles in 86 plate appearances. He has major league experience with the Athletics and Marlins as well. Gray was in attendance for Fenway Fest in Boston earlier this month and attended Trevor Story’s camp in Texas as well.”
I’ll always remember the 2025-26 offseason as the Tristan Gray Era in Boston.
What a wild two months it was
Stanstanstan Gray
Career .634 hitter in 41 games aged 29.
Yet another fringe major leaguer in the middle infield to compete with Kriedler, Arcia and Brujan for the final bench spot
Wonder who gets traded/DFA’d for us to continue pretending we are a competitive team
It’s like they’re allergic to acquiring Right Handed hitters
there go my hopes and dreams 😔
