Stearns seems intent on setting up the Mets for future offseasons when the position player market is stronger, I don’t think they’ll try and land Bo long-term if he opts out
Jays have a lot of money off the books after this season, and this season can be a good trial to see how B does on the defensive side of the ball at not SS which the Jays place huge value on.

The amount of money he can get long-term will be higher if it includes years where his age still has a 2 in front of it

And players with a QO use the opt-out to reset their market.
He won’t opt out if 2026 is a lost season or if the two sides decide to tear it up as part of an extension. Otherwise, he will.

The Mets had several different uniforms, from the pinstripe to the snow whites from 1997 to 2012 which I liked. I would have dumped the pinstripes and gone with the snow whites myself.
Almost 1⁄3 of the league wears pinstripes.
