[Highlight] V.J Edgecombe gets up to block Jalen Green alley-oop Attempt
The kid has it… He’s already a special player
This rookie class is the best we’ve had in a long time. May turn out even better than 2018.
2020 was very good too with great picks throughout the first round
The hype for last year’s draft class was pretty insane. If you followed the draft circles, it was pretty known that this was going to be a very strong and deep class. Now with that in context, next year’s draft class is even better.
Who are the top 5 or 10 next year to look out for? Or even deeper than that on expected impact to teams?
Darryn peterson, Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer are going to be first 3, what order depends on the position the first pick team needs to fill, but it will likely be Dybantsa since he is a big SF and that can fit so many teams. I think the reason there is a lot of competition for tanking to the bottom 3 of the league this year is because those 3 are guaranteed future franchise players if they stay healthy, while the rest of the top 10 are a bit below in expectation - but that’s not a mark against them, its just the anticipation of these 3 guys.
Caleb Wilson, Mikel Brown Jr. are the step beneath that as the top 5.
I’ve seen Brown falling a lot lately. Kingston Flemings is the big riser but I’ve seen Quantance and Darius Acuff Jr. get placed in the top 5 too
It sure is . Just looked at the past few years. This year is the only one where all the top ten are valued roster players and most are more than that, what’s even more amazing the fact that none of them struck the “rookie wall” yet(knock on wood) , truly nba ready . BTW, 2018 might have good top talent like Luca SGA and Brunson but ayton, bagley and bamba in the top 10 isn’t a very good draft.
Agreed. 2025 is the most well-rounded draft class we’ve seen ever.
Even with the undrafted players like Nembhard, Cisse, & Love.
Lmao y’all be showing so much recency bias. 96 was a better draft class, easily:
Hard to be in the HOF when you were drafted 6 months ago
There’s nothing more “well rounded” about this draft class that anyone can articulate. Including the person who said it initially

There is nothing more “well-rounded” about this year’s class
Every player past pick 24 in ‘96 is completely irrelevant.
a) You must be a kid. Moochie Norris, Jeff McInnis, and Malik Rose were not “irrelevant” players if you were watching basketball in the late 90s and early 2000s
b) who TF is gonna be “relevant” past 24 this year? Danny Wolf? Lmao
!remindme 5 years
He has all the tools to be a 2 way superstar.
Comps to Wade, Butler, OKC Paul George and Ant all seem fair.
He doesn’t have the raw numbers that Flagg or Kon have, but he has been a better overall player IMO. He has a higher ceiling than really any of 2nd year guys.
He is someone you want on your team. Might not be the main guy, but dude is definitely a good piece on any team.
I love this kid. So good already.
He is legit, really fun to watch tonight.
he looks great with a headband…..im sad he ditched it
He felt deadly the e one time we played him this season.
Second best player on the team with embiid and PG13 on the floor.
That is some anime shit there.
wtf it looked like he hit a turbo boost to get that
Wild athleticism
NEVER TRADE HIM NEVER TRADE HIM NEVER TRADE HIM
Dude looks like he has top 5 in the league potential in his prime. They won’t
Why would you even speak that evil into the world lol, ain’t no way they are trading him unless something unfortunate happens or you hire Nico Harrison
VJ is a two-way beast. Dominant on both ends. So impressive!
The block being so clean is what makes it so clean.
True, it’s clean cuz it’s clean.
How neat is that?!
Alaa was talking about the landing, but that whole sequence was wildly cat-like. Unreal explosion athlete
My guy glides in the air. I dont think he needed that much energy to do anything on the court
He gives me Ant vibes at times.
Just insane ability to pull that off.
Philly got another one
how many highlight does this rookie have in this game alone
Bro had no business being all the way up there
This post should have more likes than it does if this sub actually liked basketball.
Easily one of the craziest blocks I’ve ever seen.
Athleticism x Timing
Holy
i feel like VJ is in that Thompson twins category of athleticism
jalen green back? damn didn’t even know
First game back!
wow, and it’s right after another Jalen got the same hamstring strain
Ah c’mon it’s his first day back you can’t cut him a break lol
VJ is gonna be a problem
I was like a cat on defense… I always ended up on all fours.
If Michael Jordan is Anthony Edward’s father, Jimmy Butler is VJs father.
That was sick
That’s a block of the year candidate right there
This title isn’t sensationalized enough, that’s one of the best blocks I’ve seen all season. The combo athleticism and the precision to get all ball going at that speed is insane.
I love the way he plays. I don’t think he will ever be top 5 in the league but I think he’ll be incredibly valuable to any team wanting to win a championship. He just has an incredible motor and athleticism. He just has an energy that is infectious. A fringe contender can add him and he pushes them into that contender status
Dear lord
That is INSANE
The rare Ally Oop Block and it didn’t come from Vic damn.
it’s good to see vj blossom into such a solid player hope he continues to do well
Kid’s gonna be so good
trade him to boston
Yall are so greedy lol
He does something every game I’ve watched which makes you go blink and say wow. Athletic ability for days but with work ethic and bbiq. Love this kid very much.
He’s who I thought Scoot Henderson would be
Insane
The second wind to commit and get to that is insane
is that DWAYNE WADE?!
