The Luka hate train has been going strong the past few weeks. Sometimes our eyes falter when we see the good Canadian make questionable plays but we always come back to Luka “DeMarcus Cousins” Doncic.

I give him and Luka all the same hate I give Shai. Honestly Brunson is probably the worst.

He gets fouled and hacked a lot. It’s his playstyle and he’s not generating fouls by flopping too much. Free throws are not all made the same. Most of his calls are legit and no one argues on them.

Luka gets way more hate than Shai, his haters just usually focus on other aspects of him and his game (usually defense or something way stupider than either). Butler just doesn’t get the attention either of those two players do in general because he’s never been an MVP caliber player.

I suspect that it’s because it’s paired with their “elite” team defense.. a.k.a “can’t call all the fouls” defense. To have a team get both a favorable whistle on offense and swallowed whistles on defense just seems too hypocritical and massively unfair.
